10.23.10 STARING PROBLEM at the old asbury lanes /// was going to post another picture from this GIG today but changed it to this. been taking blurry photos for a while now LIVE IT or LEAVE IT. this was a fuck of a gig on the wife and my birthiversary weekend. it seemed like every great jersey hardcore punk band of that moment played that night. so many of our friends showed up to hang with us and really it was just feeding us all the drinks & watching our buds play songs. what some dudes are doing at the brewery while not the same exactly it is in the same sense. nothing physical lasts forever but the spirit remains. this show was at a point where i’d lost my love for live music. i didn’t NEED it anymore. it gave me a ton of anxiety and stress to just bring myself to shows and again a place that i’d always felt like was a weirdo home away from home was cold unwelcoming and foreign to me. i imagine this show help me remember that i still loved watching my buddies perform. i am glad 8 years later i find more enjoyment and comfort at these gigs again than i had in a very long time. i probably should consider trying to yell in a band again. sunday nights yelling at karaoke just isn’t cutting it i’ve got some dumb things to say that other people songs just aren’t cutting it. thank you buds and friends and freaques of the shore for always doing a thing and making worth while to travel down the shore for. #notmylanes #asburypunk #jerseyshore #shorestyle #njhc (at Asbury Lanes)
