“you can’t save him. he is mine.”
(Continuing this from your answer)
"Ch-...Cheater?" His eyes widened at that statement.. He was cheating, what was he talking about? That was when he remembered what he was told. About how Zielo considered this "a game", there was no compromising, there was no surrendering. There was only winners and losers.
Vent, who was on his knees at this point, looked up at the cruel diety in horror. His throat tightened and with his shock now gone, only now did his tears begin to fall down his face. Every word he spoke, every demeaning taunt cut through Vent like a guillotine. It was like his own negativity was being vocalized through Zeilo. During the fall of his silent tears he finally managed to get up on his feet.
"Wh-Why...?"
His gaze turned towards the coyote once more, in one last attempt, he rushed over to him and grabbed his arm, he began to plead with him to leave with him and his brothers, only to be met with an icy cold stare that was immediately followed with a slash from the corrupt demi-god's blade.
"AAAAUGH!!!!"
The force of the swing was enough to send him on his back. He placed his hand over one of his eyes and winced, he looked down at his hand to see alot of blood, though the pain only seemd to come from his eyelid, even so he couldn't open his eye, this was bound to leave a scar. As he sat there on the floor, he began to hyperventilate and whimper. It was there that reality began to settle in for the turquoise mink, he was gone, and he couldn't do anything.
He took a look at his brothers, then one last look at Zielo with pure fear in his eyes. He gripped the diamond shaped amulet near his chest and ironically heeded the word of the hollow god. He, abandoning his brothers turned tail and ran away leaving them behind. He couldn't help but take one last look as he rushed out of the throne room, despite his sorrow, he managed to reclaim another piece of his memory. This piece only confirming a singular truth...
"I'm... a failure."
He uttered as he turned back around and continued to run.
