The New Mutants #63 (May 1988)
I recently conducted a Twitter poll asking folks how they organized their New Mutants comics in their long or short boxes. Whether they are categorized under “N” for “New,” “M” for “Mutants,” “X” for “X-Men related” or “T” because they are agents of chaos for which nothing has any meaning. The “N” categorizers won personally, I have my New Mutants comics under “M” in a box labeled “Brand X” with other X-related titles like Excalibur and Fallen Angels.
A couple of themed short boxes from my custom comics closet.
Not sure exactly when this photo is from, but I’d guess a couple of years ago because I was still keeping my magazine sized short boxes with my comics short boxes (I since moved them to under the desk since I don’t need to get into them as often). One of the mag boxes holds my extensive collection of issues of Dungeon magazine from the 80s and 90s. The other holds stuff like my collection of original issues of Love and Rockets and one-offs I own like Rampaging Hulk.
I still keep current pull-list books in the Current box, but the FF box has changed. It no longer hold Hulk comics (or Power Pack) because it is nearly full of my growing collection of the John Byrne run, along with a bunch of issues of Marvel Two-in-One, the Thing’s first solo series, and the most recent Silver Surfer series by Dan Slott and Mike Allred. In the background of this photo you can see a bunch of my wife’s book collection, both some young adult novels (which she also writes) and poetry (which she also writes).
