Frick. I did that thing where I changed tenses a while back without realizing. Ugh. Now I have to decide if I want to change the tense of the part I'm writing now, or switch the earlier parts to the tense I'm currently using. Ugh.

the "throw them in the lake and see if they swim" approach really, REALLY doesn't work with me. After several weeks of having to work on absolutely awful translation texts, I have started to doubt everything about the future I thought I wanted. Surely there's a way for people to improve without, you know, destroying their confidence?
