Our story.
For those who want to know our story.. I’m a 19 year old girl and I’m 5″6 tall (172 cm). Three years ago I met my boyfriend. He was handsome, smart, had a good sense of humor, and above all.. he was nice, sweet and caring. The perfect boyfriend, i thought. But there was only one thing that bothered me.. his height. He was really short! (5″2, 158 cm). This was new for me, because all of my previous boyfriends were taller. Because of this I only wanted him as a good friend. But then we started to hang out more. We had so much fun, we could talk about almost everything and then.. I fell in love with him. And he said he loved me too. Suddenly I did not care about his height anymore, neither did he. Ofcourse, sometimes I was scared to walk around with him or holding his hand, but I loved him so much that after a while, i wasn’t ashamed anymore. And ofcourse people came up with questions that annoyed me so much, like “He is shorter than you, does it bother you?” or “How do you guys kiss” and stuff like that. Ughhh i hate it, but i don’t even give a shit. I love him, he loves me and thats all we care about.
I made this Tumblr for everyone who had a shorter boyfriend (or taller girlfriend) and I also made it for myself, to remind myself that its okay. It happens. I want to let all the people know that it’s not weird to have a boy shorter than you or a girl taller than you.
