Cadiz Railroad

Here’s a few images of a little line in western Kentucky, the Cadiz Railroad. It ran from Cadiz to Gracey, where it connected with a line of the Illinois Central (source).

I feel that these images were taken a few miles west of Gracey, at a spot on this USGS map called Montgomery; as the Wiki page above explains, the locomotive is an Alco S1.

This photo was made in the no-longer-operaring Laurinburg & Southern Railroad offices, a business locally owned and operated 1904-1994.
