This was it. Going through that door meant starting a whole new life, and sharing an apartment with a complete stranger. Bocchi took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, staring at her trembling hands as she did so. Just a little while back her mom had surprised her by insisting she move here and learn how to make friends. The girl hadn’t slept a moment since, being too preoccupied writing out all the different possibilities she could think of that might occur. There was no going back now.

Steeling herself once more, she clenched her fists and burst through the door. 

“H.. He... Hh!! Bocch... Me.. Hh..!” She stuttered with difficulty, breathing heavily between sounds. Her face grew pale as her stomach and head swirled from both embarrassment and anxiety. Bending over, Bocchi clutched her stomach and vomited the remains of her last meal in a panic.
