The way this game (ss14) has had a solid grip on me for a year now. I've drawn so much spec stuff for species and ocs it's crazy, I have a whole separate folder for art regarding it.

Generic bug-ish designs are cool, even if yes it's a shame that in the immense variety of bugs, its usually this or moths. I like them though but thats my bias

My thoughts tho, is that if we do generic bug then why are people not doing this with mammals. It could be so fun. Does anyone want to join me

My generic mammal design with traits that are found on most mammals and invoke you no species in particular yet it looks mammal-ish. Let's start doing this as a furry community

I love humans. I love them as a human loving other humans because i'm a social animal, and I love them as a biology enthusiast who thinks humans are such an interesting animal. My pet peeve of mine is seeing someone call humans lame in sci-fi spaces, and that their sophonts need to be built "better". NO! We are not lame, in fact, we're such a funny animal. And once you view us as another animal, part of an ecosystem, it changes you for the better. You notice random behaviors we do and view them as special. Every mundane thing you do is special. We love doing certain things because we're apes, we love doing X because we're social, we love Y because we're a species that relies on sight a lot. We are running apes who would pursue animals in open fields until they died of exhaustion, our body plan looks fucking crazy, we are bipedal mammals, that's so weird!! You're so weird!! It's beautiful!!

And all of our "flaws" sucks to live with, so what, every animal is flawed because being specialised in one thing will make you bad at another. We're bad at running on all four, that's fine, because we're made to be good at running on two feet. Do I wish I could be bi-quad? Of course!! Do I wish we had a weird prehensile tail? Of course!! Do I think human teeth are annoying and our sinysus a fucking joke? YES. But that doesn't make humans lame. Every problem our biology has is a part of us, and I will embrace it. Give your sophont biology "flaws", it's objectively funny. Worldbuilding-wise and socially, it's something that will influence it. It makes them feel more real because nothing is perfect.

It's funny that kyhuines used to be the one compared to sergals constantly, and justifyably so because they did just straight up look like one, but now the shift has turned to maanuls getting the comparison instead. without then changing much compared to kyhuines. I don't know why though.

Aside from that, is not something I wanna hear after the 20 th time mostly because it's tiring, I get it (I think), but I don't care.

In general with how a Fandom reduces characters to 1 personality trait, it did not surprise me that some people viewed rocky as a pet side kick and not a person, and thus doing this. It's not surprising, but it never fails to be disappointing. And while I do believe their friendship feels more important narration wise than a romance would've, if you're going to do shipping at least don't be scared of doing it with the two sophonts starring the movie / book ? It would be interesting at last

Amazing how common it is as a racial minority that my words will be spoken over, or that my concern over how you should learn about colonialism, and learn about what your country has done and is still actively doing to said minorities, beyond your borders or within the country, gets dismissed and ignored. Learning about what's going on isn't fucking hard, me telling you to just give a shit, esp when you're a white privileged person, isn't me stepping over you. Why are my words always an attack on you? Think about it for one second on why you get so defensive about it. And why does being against racism only matter when it makes you look good amongst other peers, but when someone who isn't white asks you to care, it becomes a chore, and you view them as lecturing you.

When a racially marginalised group, who are actively targeted in the country you live in, ask you to care and learn about what's going on in your country, and you dismiss it entirely. Then you're being racist.
