The battle was coming to an end.  The Redcoats were forced into a full retreat, with Connor being the main catalyst of it.  It seemed that no matter what offensive they launched and the numbers they came with, they could not solve the brutal and fierce riddle that was the Mohawk Assassin.  And once again, they were forced to take whatever they could get, and in this case, it was executing whatever Colonial forces they were able to capture.  Connor had gotten wind of this and he took off to free the soldiers caught.  But leaving no man behind had come with a potentially fatal price.  

The Assassin had taken a bullet to this chest in the midst of rescuing a soldier from certain death.  Not to mention, the soldier who fired the bullet took a chance to further wound the Assassin via a stab to his shoulder with his bayonet.  While Connor furiously countered with his free hand and Hidden Blade, the damage was already done...and commanding the Colonial soldiers he had rescued to run, he was now left at the total mercy of several Loyalists, who had the wounded wolf surrounded.  Gazing up in defiance, he gripped his Tomahawk tightly, vowing never to release his grip on it.  But....even he had to admit to himself that things did not look good...and he did not have one ally in sight.

     { ♞ } Anna scoffed and got in the man’s face. She looked him hard in the eye. “It is, your fault. If you had not stumbled into me, I would not have lost my target and caused a scene. If you are stumble and saunter, do it elsewhere.” Anna pushed him aside and started marching off.

( ☀ ) Jack raised his brows, a look of curiosity writ across his features.Target? Was she tracking someone? Perhaps she was a spy, an assassin? Jack's mind went into a whirl of questions, tilting his head an innocent look replaced the curious one. "Not m'fault if y'cannot watch from a distance." He walked after her, all the stumbling and sauntering she had mentioned ever present in his gracefully graceless stride. "Who is it yer after, love?"

I met a woman today while hunting in the frontier.  She too, was a native of these lands, which was refreshing to see because so many of us have unfortunately been run off by these outsiders.  It is sad, because in this time, we should all be banding together to protect what is rightfully ours.  But perhaps her and I can begin in doing so.  She has seen many battles, much more than I have and is a warrior through and through.  I actually feel a sense of admiration for her when I am by her side, and for a moment, I have hope of not only protecting my people, but others as well.
