The Douen is a spirit of a child found in the Caribbean. The Douen is described as a 2-3 foot tall creature with no facial features except for a mouth, backwards facing feet, and they often wear a loincloth and a hat that hides their faceless features. Douens are said to be the spirits of unbaptized children and they often lure kids into the forests taking them away where they will never be seen again. sometimes douens will attach to people and if they do they are hard to get rid of however pouring Holy Water on them and saying the baptismal prayers will cause them to move on to the afterlife.
