Friday 14th September- Important aspects when filming.

180 Degree Rule: for the audience it's important to keep each character on one side of the camera. If you start with one character on the left side, then they should stay on the left side through out the scene.

Shot Reverse Shot: This is used when two people are talking. when one person is talking it will be on the, but the camera will revere the angle to be on the other character. Hence a shot reverse shot.

Eye Line Match: normally used when the characters are at different levels. For example if you are standing up and talking to some one sitting down, then the camera needs to be at your eye line and point down towards the other character.

Match On Action: You would film a scene from different angle and, then when editing you could create this idea. For example you could have some one sitting down and it could be a long shot, but you have filmed it with a close up as well, therefore you could edit so halfway through sitting down the camera has changed it's angle.

Shot Blocking: You would need to plan out where all the characters stand, before filming. So, that you can mark them and they stand in the same place for each shot.Edit
