Dear Dad,

     Things sure have gotten crazy around here at Beacon. I know it’s been a while since I last wrote, so I’ll give you the short version. I’m the leader of Team RWBY! My partner is Weiss Schnee, heiress to Schnee Dust corp, and my teammates are Yang and this really nice girl named Blake. She has a secret, and I don’t really know if I should be telling you, but you can keep secrets..She’s a Faunus. 

     Anyway, I’ve made a few new friends here at Beacon. Plus you probably saw me on the news again..hehe…Yeah, long story about that. I’ll have to tell you in person when you come to see the tournament. I’m going to be in it this year, and I promise I’m going to do my best!

He'd asked the same question a number of times to a handful of people around Beacon.

"Who should I go to about combat training?"

And gotten the same description. Pretty and crazy strong, with lots of blonde hair. Yang Xiao Long.

The tall male poked his head around the corner of the training gym with slight caution. He was wondering how he'd find her in the maze of equipment when a crackle of flames and a rattle of rapid fists meeting punching bag exploded from the corner of the room.

Cigno blinked and hid out behind a training dummy, unsure if he should've brought a fire extinguisher, a portable bomb shelter, or both.
