04- Battle in Kombat

Peace and quiet is what there was when Izakai was heading off to school. Everything was calming and silent; including her mind. That was how it was until she got to the school gates where she got crowded by the press looking for 'The inside scooped' of All Might being their teacher and all. "Do you like him being you're teacher?" One of the news people asked before shoving their stupid mic in her face, then another asked, "How is it being up close to the number one pro hero?" Izakai stayed silent through out it all but was too afraid to move since she was now surrounded, or what felt like being surrounded. She wanted nothing to do with the press or anyone else besides,
"Leave her alone. Can't you see you're scaring her along with crowding a teenage girl?" Shoto lightly growled to people he walked passed as he moved to stand behind his nervous, petite friend. The press in the front start backing away, not wanting to deal with an upset student along with the number two heroes' son. As soon as the adults mostly backed away, Shoto gently grabbed Izakai's hand and brought her into the gates where the press weren't allowed.
"Are you alright? You're shaking. Need anything?" He softly spoke trying to relax and make his voice as small as possible so he didn't scare Izakai any more than she already was. His soothing voice always managed to calm Izakai down and make her feel herself again instead for scare her, this she was grateful for. "Thank you Shoto for helping me, I'm okay now. I need to work on ignoring and not freaking out over crowds." Shoto shook his head to this statement thinking her feelings and being claustrophobic was completely valid. "You don't have to get over anything. They shouldn't have been crowding you like that. I'll make sure that doesn't happen again. Now, let's get to class."

"Good morning class," Mr. Aizawa tiredly spoke out as he entered the classroom and made his way to the front of the class to start his teachings.
The class responded quietly but nicely to him before silencing down and letting him teach the class. "You all did good with your training yesterday during the battle trails with AllMight. I see Some potential in all of you so don't be sulking on not doing great or not winning," This lecture continued even getting onto Bakugou and Midoriya about their battle saying they shouldn't be too upset or hurt by what they did.
"Besides that, you guys will have to pick a class representative to help the classroom environment," 'So they do, do normal school stuff here as well.' Izakai thought to herself like she normally did when having her separate thoughts from what's happening around her.
As soon as he was finish speaking, everyone started arguing, wanting the title of class representative. Izakai had to cover her ears with her hands hating the loud noises and shouting. "SILENCE EVERYONE!" Iida yelled to the class shutting them up and giving Izakai some relief from all the chaotic energy.
"The best way to resolve and fill in the position of the class representative is doing an election." He said in an assertive and leaderish tone making him seem like the perfect candidate for class rep; to which the class said he was just doing this to get others to vote for him, though Izakai didn't by that. She could tell he wasn't trying to get them to vote for him if they did an election, more so to calm the class doing so everything didn't seem stressful.
Aizawa didn't care and just took a nap saying the class rep had to be picked by the end of that day or he'll pick himself not caring if it was a good or bad choice. And with that, the election started with names being written down and the class voting on who they thought could fulfill the role.
After a few names were listed on the board and everyone was okay with everything, the class started to vote for who they thought would be great for the role. For Izakai, it was a hard decision due to her not knowing anything about the people on the board or around her making her have to look around at the main people, she thought would be great.
After some thinking and taking longer than most of the students she put a name down and watched as the vote her tallied up on the board. "Looks like De- Midoriya is going to be the new class representative." She muttered to no one in particular, just speaking out loud instead of just in her head.
Izakai could see Midoriya was very confused and questioned why he had four votes while Iida had three votes along with their classmate named Yaoyorozu also had three votes which meant they tied but Aizawa picked Yaoyorozu as deputy or second in command instead of Iida which was a bit disappointing on his end. After that, the class was dismissed for lunch giving mostly Midoriya a breather from everything that happened in the past hour.

"Why does it have to be so crowded?... It's too loud..." Izakai muttered as she poked at her food not really eating nor feeling that hungry to do so. She was sitting with Shoto in lunch rush due to it being their lunch time and was just being quiet for most of the time since there wasn't much to talk about.
Despite that fact, Izakai did think the silence was kind of nice and calming compared to the rest of the tables around them who were being too loud. She looked down at the rice bowl she had gotten and had only been picking at till Shoto got her to at least eat a bite or so.
She wasn't one for eating food at this time of hour, but with being in the hero course you have to eat in order to have enough energy throughout the day meaning she forced herself to at least eat a little bit. "To answer your question from before, it's filled with not just hero course students, there's general classes, support, and other helping classes making it very loud since most people are full of energy." Shoto lightly spoke as he ate the cold soba, he had gotten from the line which to Izakai looked a bit good, but also looked a bit bad at the same time. "Hm, I guess that makes a bit of sense... How are you feeling on Midoriya being a leader to the class?"
He looked up at her as he finished up his food, he thought for a bit then shrugged not having many thoughts on it since he didn't know the boy at all. "We'll have to see how well he does as a class representative in order to judge how he is." Izakai nodded taking a small bite of rice before looking a bit surprised at how well it tasted to her taste buds. She ate another bite out of impulse and felt very content with what she chose to eat for the day. "Wow this rice is actually good, I didn't think it would taste delightful." She lightly smiled as she slowly started to eat more, not because she was hungry but because it tasted well. Shoto hummed and nodded as he looked over to the table where Uraraka, Iida, Midoriya, and Sizuki were at.
He thought for a minute about the group and about the quirks they had till he was snapped out by the alarms going off. Izakai jumped at the unexpected alarm and the P.A system saying' "Warning, There's a level 3 Security Breach. All students need to evacuate the building and report to close by faculty."
She didn't know what a level 3 security breach was, but by the sound of it and by students starting to freak out it wasn't something good. The two got up and started making their way to the exit as soon as possible only to be stopped by a lot of other students doing the same thing and pushing one another to leave the school.
The whole thing was just chaos and heightened Izakai's anxiety and claustrophobia to the highest it could be especially with people yelling, fighting, and pushing others in their paths. "S-Shoto... W-We need t-to stay," Before she could finish speaking, she was pushed to a wall away from Shoto and away from most of the others.
Her heart started racing more than ever when she couldn't find Shoto or anyone she recognized for the longest time or what felt like that at least. Small tears started to form in the corners of her eyes and her claustrophobia started to act up. Not being able to breath as properly, she frankly looked around for anyone till her eyes met with Sizuki and Uraraka huddled together while being pushed around.
She didn't care if it wasn't Shoto, didn't care if it were people, she barely knew, she knew they were safe to go to and that's all that matters. Moving within the crowd of people, she latched onto Sizuki's arm and held on as Uraraka started floating Iida who was nearby so he could see what was going on. Sizuki was confused about who was touching her but didn't question it when seeing the small girl trying to stay close and not be swept away by the sea of students.
Izakai and the two other girls watched as Iida got to the top and held himself steady on the ledge looking out the windows and at the hectic crowd. The crowd got worse around the girls and tried their best to stay close as much as they could till Iida started yelling. "Listen up! Everything is alright, it was just the news and media outside! As UA students, we need to show we are just as great as the Pro-Heroes by calming down!"
Uraraka and Sizuki give Iida a thumbs up even if he didn't see them do it. Izakai on the other hand, let go of Sizuki's arm and looked around seeing if she could see Shoto again. Though, she didn't see much from how short she was making her a bit annoyed at herself even if her height growth was out of her control.
The students of the school calmed down then started moving away from the packed hall and into their classes or back to the lunch rush room. Izakai stayed in the hall next to the 1-A door watching as people walked in either by themselves or with a friend till Shoto showed up with a worried expression. "Are you alright? I know the situation was startling." He spoke grabbing her sides gently and making sure she wasn't physically hurt. Seeing the tears she had, he brought her into a hug knowing it would bring her comfort.
"I-I'm fine. J-Just got a bit scared when we lost each other. Though, I did manage to stay close to Sizuki and Uraraka." He nodded and pulled away from their short hug, before walking into the classroom with Izakai following behind going straight to her seat just like Shoto with doing. They stayed in their seats waiting for a few minutes till Mr.Aizawa showed up asking Midoriya and Yaoyorozu to the front to pick the rest of the class officers.
But before they could start class again, Midoriya started speaking wanting to talk about his position before picking more people. "I'm very grateful for being given the position of class representative. But thinking about it, I'm not someone who is able to stand up or keep the class in line. I believe Iida should be class rep instead. After seeing how he kept the school in line during the emergency, he was able to report the situation and call everyone down."
He looked towards the shocked boy who then gave a nod of appreciation. "If Midoriya is truly wanting me to take of this job, I humbly accept his offer. I'll try my best to do great at my duties and being helpful to the class." Izakai thought about Iida being class rep instead and thought it was a good change after seeing what he did today to the entire school.
After class went on as normal as well as the rest of the school day tillit was over and people were leaving to go home. Shoto and Izakai ended up going hope together, remembering the small challenge they had to fix after the battle trials being, "unfair" is what Izakai said.

"I thought we were going to have a real battle like I said we should..." She was sitting on the couch in some sweats she keeps in her school bag and a hoodie that was too big on her but she borrowed from Shoto so she was more comfortable. Izakai was definitely annoyed because she was ready to train and battle with him, but instead, he decided to hang out in the living room and turn on the Xbox console for them to play and just relax with. "We are doing a real battle. I just don't want to physically go outside and train today." He calmly said as he started up the game, they were going to play which had been one of their favorite games to go against each other and rage at.
"We're playing Mortal Kombt! It's not a real battle It's just enraging!" She harshly yelled at him like she normally did when they got into small arguments like this. He just ignored her and threw the controller she uses at her and started the game. "Pick your character and quit complaining crybaby. This will be a fair game once I win." Shoto lightly grinned feeling comfortable to let go and not have his serious facade on.
Izakai groaned once more before rolling her eyes and reluctantly grabbing the controller he threw at her. She ended up going with her main which was Kitana, the girl she grew to like using and memorized all her moves by heart.
Like always, Shoto chose Sub-Zero for his ability to freeze things, use ice, and was a bit better than most of the other characters. Once they were ready, a random area was chosen, and they started battling. Izakai went straight for Shoto throwing the fans at Sub-Zero and slashing at him any chance she got.
Shoto was able to freeze Kitana multiple times and used a good Ice burst, Iceball, slide, Ice Klone, Klone toss combo pissing Izakai off since she was horrible with doing combos and she wasn't able to use her ultimate move yet. It only Shoto a minute to KO Kitana the first time and used a fatality the second round.
Izakai got upset and roughly placed the controller done saying, "I quit! You're never fair with this stupid game!" She crossed her arms against her chest and glared at Shoto very upset at both the game and him for winning. "It was one game. You're too much of a poor sport." He lightly chuckled liking how upset she got over a game and how endearing she could look while being upset. "Go jack yourself off! I hate this!" She huffed out turning her head away from him not wanting to see the nice smile he had on his face or accept the fact that he had won again today without giving her a chance.
"Sure he does that perfectly fine." Natsuo lightly chuckled out from the doorway of the living room. Apparently, he had been there the whole time watching the mini-match they had while drinking a Mountain Dew. Shoto's face felt a bit warm at his brothers words, make him lightly groan a bit and got annoyed before turning to look at the older boy as Izakai spoke. "How would you know that? Why are you even here? Shouldn't you be at college? Or did they kick you out already?"
The white-haired boy dramatically gasped placing a hand against his chest as if to say, 'You're talking about me?' He then chuckled and shook his head at the girl understanding he was at home unexpectedly and without reason. "Nah, I'm just here for a few days to do something in the city before going back and doing work there." He lightly explained to the two before waving at them and walking out wanting another Mountain Dew. As Natsuo left, Shoto looked at Izakai feeling a embarrassed about what was said about him before asking if she wanted to play another round.
The girl looked at him and stuck her tongue out in a childish way, then turned again so she was facing away from him; she didn't care about what Natuso had said only that she had lost the game. He sighed and shook his head used to her acting a bit bratty towards things like this. He placed his controller next to him, so he was able to move closer to her and rest his chin on her shoulder. "What will make you feel better? Want some soba?" She thought about it for a moment making a small humming noise and told him only if it was hot soba instead of cold. He scoffed and shook his head not allowing that disrespect around him. "Cold soba is better, and you know it. Don't insult soba just because you're mad."
Izakai lightly chuckled grabbing the controller and getting ready for a final battle. "You know I'd never disrespect you unless I was joking. Now, another round. This time, person actually gets to choose what they win." This Shoto agreed with and hopped back into the game.

"Sigh, looks like you win. Shoto chuckled out lightly while putting all the Xbox things away and instead getting a movie set up while they did what Izakai wanted to do. "Finally, now... I want some hot chocolate with gummy bear on top!" Shoto turned to her with a mixture of confusion and disgust on his face. "All they pouty-ness and complaining for weird hot chocolate?" He asked her earning a small non-menacing glare. He agreed either way, but had to admit it was unusual.
Shoto left Izakai alone, but came back into the living room minutes later with Izakai's drink. She thanked him for it and immediately started drinking ignoring the bruins tongue sensation most people got when they first drink hot chocolate. Shoto sat next to her, grabbed the remote, and turned on the movie he pre-picked out so they could calm down for the night.
"What are we watching?" "Beauty and the beast." Izakai giggled slightly excitedly, placed her drink on the coffee table so she didn't spill it and relaxed near Shoto. This was a common thing for them being childhood friends. They would create these movie nights where they could be themselves and be happy despite most of the bad that goes on in their lives. There was something about them being alone with just a movie that made the two of them feel that's all they needed in life. Nothing more, nothing less...
"Hey, movies almost up. You going home?" Shoto whispered to Izakai who was laying on his chest comfortably. Shoto had his arms around her body not minding how they ended up here. They didn't always cuddle but didn't care when they did since it was a lovely sign of friendship and affection.
Looking down at Izakai while calling her name, he saw that she was sound asleep. It was a beautiful sight and Shoto didn't want to disturb it. So he didn't, he turned the movie off and got them more settled so they could both be able to sleep for the night. "Night Izakai, thanks for everything today. You're an amazing girl."
