Central City Studios and Baby Daddy
First think this morning we all headed to Central City to work and to give interviews. The working aspect was like every other Central City day. A lot of work, but also an amazing learning experience.
Before the work began the Hollywood crew had to set up a couple interviews. This whole process was tense because we all have opinions that we still haven't learned to keep silent about. I know from experience that it's often better to stay silent and let everything pan out without your input. And honestly, people rarely care what you have to say, unless you're someone really important. I'm not saying no one cares, just that the people in charge have the final say. It's like this for everything.
After Central City we went to a show taping for Baby Daddy. The show taping was so much fun! I have watched the show in the past, but recently haven't really had the chance to tune in. The director tonight was Michael Lembeck and he seemed like a really cool guy. He came up to the audience to assure us that the twins used as baby Emma were well taken care of. The whole cast and crew seemed like a lot of fun and were really engaged in the shooting process. I noticed too that the camera lens must have had a filter because the clothing colors appeared differently on screen then they were in person. Not only that, but there was one person on each camera. This is different from other taping's I've been to where there have been more than one person working the camera. The cast was constantly dancing and joking around. It made me want to be an actress that much more. I know that all sets are not like this one, but a girl can dream.
And since this is my post I will go on a tangent now and be super inspirational.
I believe that no one ever leaves that child phase in their life. We live in a cycle of growing up and being treated like an adult. But then all of a sudden we're in the real world and we're being treated like children again. You will be talked down upon when your first start off in any position, and you will hate it. But then you grow up again and soon enough you're the one bossing other people around. It's a never ending journey that involves tension, strained relationships and even tears. But if you stick with it I do think that it'll be worth it. Think of life as high school and every promotion as a chance to graduate to the next grade level. Like high school every year gets better because you know that one day you'd be rolling with the big guys in fancy offices on the top floor penthouses. You just need to work your ass off to get there. Nothing's handed to you, and no one owes you anything. You have to make the decision to learn from other people. You have to make the decision to change as a person, to listen, and to value others for their stories and their own voice. You just have learn how to suck up all the bad or else you will fail at most everything in this crazy world.
