For some reason, people believed that Goku was sent away JUST as Freeza was destroying the planet, even as it was stated when Bardock came back it’d take a month or so for everyone to be back. Granted I think Freeza didn’t wait THAT long, but the idea he attacked that soon? Bit of a stretch.
