The last Showbread show was lit. 100 degree weather in a sold out show with no A/C. It was a gnarly pit, right up there with The Chariot's last show. I can't even begin to express how much this band has helped me. Since I first found Age Of Reptiles at the local library when I was 17. Which is the absolutely craziest thing because they never had any other hard Christian rock. To me Showbread was the band. My all time favorite band to this day. They completely opened the world to me, and Christian rock in a way I had never even imagined before. That Christian's could be these cool crazy guys, and still love Jesus eventually leading me to Cornerstone and a complete change in my relationship with God. Crying through Anorexia/Nervosa, hearing the Fear of God the first time, screaming No Sir in the field, posting a little in the Raw Rock Milita forums. My license plate is RAW RCK. And of course challenging my Christian walk and theology, and teaching me how to scream. That and my lip ring is also because of Josh. Bottom line, this band has helped me greatly in becoming the man I am today. And it was so great to help end this wonderful legacy. So while the end of Showbread may have happened tonight, the impact will live on. Because Showbread ruined my life, and that's something that sticks with you forever. Stab Art to Death and May Raw Rock Kill you forever and ever. Amen.
