Behold, the best and least useful showroom I've seen so far.

What’s the antidote to a chilly Fall day? How about the colorful Miami showroom for Italian lighting company, Artemide, by Vignelli Associates! 

Edie Lee Cohen wrote for “Interior Design” magazine in June 1987: 

“it’s hot, hot, hot and we don’t mean the weather. Instead, the adjective refers to color – in supersaturated tropical shades – that forms the salient feature of the 1,200-sq.-ft. Artemide showroom designed by Vignelli Associates. The vivid palette not only distinguishes the showroom from its predecessors, but also marks a departure for Massimo and Lella Vignelli themselves, whose penchant for black/white/gray neutrals extends even to personal wardrobes.”

Balmain Co-Op Society (est. 1879). Worker's co-operative and credit union. Federation-era "free classical" style grocery and general goods store (1902). Society disbanded (1936) after industry closures in the Inner West during the Great Depression, and the building eventually became derelict. Slowly restored during the 1990's as offices and showrooms. Balmain.

Corian Super-Surfaces Showroom by Amanda Levete Architects in #Milan #Italy / 2009. Inspired by ripples on water, the installation features twisted strips of solid surface material that form seating, display shelving and partitions. The forms are lit from between gaps in these panels.
