Paramount shutting down Showtime Sports at year's end

Paramount is shutting down Showtime Sports, a brand that has been in existence for nearly 38 years, by the end of the year.

Showtime Sports, and Showtime Boxing, are officially going out of business at the end of 2023.

A terrible year for combat sports.

Rumor: Showtime Boxing is dead. Mostly.

Showtime is getting out of the “free” boxing business and 100% moving to Showtime/Paramount Plus PPV model.

Considering Bellator was rumored to be axed if someone didn’t buy it, I’m not surprised.

The only boxing left on “TV” are top rank shows on espn now.
