“Are you sure you really need my help? I mean, time travel isn’t going to exactly help the situation here.”

This was embarrassing- they had her muzzled like a dog; making sure that her bodily fluids were locked down. Mouth, nose, eyes- all of it concealed behind a plastic guard with a respirator. A walking, talking biosafety hazard-- not that she would have infected the other inmates or the guards-- she couldn’t even remember using her powers to hurt others.
They’d led her to a room- dark, dingy-- what you’d expect at a prison; a gun pressed to her back the whole time. Within moments she was left behind- only to kick at the door with an anguished cry.
“Great.”
Her voice was soft, and perhaps that’s what allowed her to hear movement in the cell with her over the air filter. She spun around on her heels surprised to find she wasn’t alone. Was this a gag?
“I-I’m sorry... I...” she what? Didn’t mean to be so loud- didn’t mean to put on a show. Please, she hoped to herself, please just be someone civilized.

“I really hate to break it to you ; but i have absolutely no idea who you are-- care to enlighten me at all? Or do I have to go and guess? Because that honestly might take a while.”
showyouhell:
it was finally nice to feel some FREEDOM away from belle reve, even if that freedom sometimes meant just FIGHTING to stay alive. it was comforting to know that he could fall asleep that night without any handcuffs, in the comfort of amanda waller’s funded airship. hey, he’d take it over a prison bed any night. at least the airship had air conditioning. they had landed in a quiet one horse town to look for some sort of key that led to an intergalactic alien races’ war equipment and day one of the search FAILED so he, along with the rest of the team, decided to call it a night.
he’d settled into a chair within the bunker area of the airship, elbows planted against the metal table when he heard a pair of high heels clicking against the polished floor. instinct instantly told him it was harley quinn. he didn’t bother to turn around until he noticed the scent of fast food. ahhh, he continued to inhale. chato took his share of it and peeled back the wrapper to a cheeseburger. im- mediately, he studied the food with weary eyes.
❛ you… didn’t POISON this, did you, ese? ❜
She was s t a r v i n g and if she had to hear about one more damn mission before getting another bite to eat-- she was going to lose her shit.
All of this just to receive a damn pardon. Lips pursed nose scrunched, she wondered if this was all worth her sanity. But the one thing actually making her sane at the moment-- food.
“ Naah-- you’ah good homes, dig in! “
She sloppily slammed down the tray of drinks and yanked hers out. Slurpin’ she plopped in- to her seat and kicked her feet out. Legs cross- ing and the tips of her heels clicking at the toe when she dug into the bag for her dog.
Mouth stuffed and her teeth chewin’ she let out a loooong satisfied groan.
“ --mmmsooOOOoo good! I feel like I haven’t eaten in days! “
