We hiked 30 miles in 36 hours to bag the Lyell #glacier just under the highest peak in #yosemitenationalpark for our 2 year anniversary of the #shredall12months project. The glacier was a pure sheet of ice and was lined by snow cups that were by far the largest we have ever seen. Photo recap of June during the #shredall12months project with @chipswitit and @justin_mullen32 for @twsnow. This line really helped to set the tone for the rest of the summer. The slope was steep and the terrain was rocky. Climbing up we learned the valuable lesson of sticking close together as to avoid kicking rocks down on each other. At the top we laid eyes on what would end up being the drop in point for our September ride. During the ride down we were delighted to find the last of the spring corn snow.
