Heard something beautiful today.
Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore (yes, the Olympian and MP) wished everyone for Bhadvi Chhath – a festival for the folk deity Shri Devnarayan Ji.
It’s not just a greeting. It’s a reminder of how incredibly diverse and deep Indian culture is. Beyond the big national festivals, there are thousands of these local, hyper-specific traditions filled with amazing stories and faith.
Shri Devnarayan Ji is a legendary hero worshipped in Rajasthan, a symbol of justice and protection. This festival is for him.
Love when public figures shine a light on lesser-known but deeply meaningful parts of our heritage. It’s cool. It’s respectful.
Makes me want to go learn about the local legends and festivals from my own hometown.
Happy Bhadvi Chhath to all who celebrate!
