Synopsis: What chapstick I think the different Haikyuu characters would use

Tsukki

Strawberry

Probably not one to just have chapstick on him at all times so he steals yours

When you first notice he’s been stealing your chapstick you can’t help but smile

Everytime you kiss it tastes like strawberries now because he’s started carrying his own supply of chapstick so you kiss him more often (not that he would admit that)

“Kei, have you seen my chapstick?” You ask as you start looking around the room. You were sure you left it in here. Not on the table, not on the couch…where could it have gone?

“Yeah, I have it right here. You really need to be more careful where you leave your things dummy.” He rolls his eyes and holds out the chapstick to you. You notice a sheen across his lips though and smile a little. 

“Did you use my chapstick?” 

“And if I did? What are you gonna do about it?” You laugh a little and lean into his face. 

“My lips are a little chapped if you don’t mind.” With that you kiss him and while he’s still in shock take your chapstick back. “You know if you wanted to use it you could’ve just asked.”

Kageyama

Milk Tea

He unlike some others on this list would keep chapstick on him

You’re the one who steals his chapstick

He gets the same flavor every time and goes to one specific store because it’s the only one that carries that flavor

“Tobi, take me with you!” You cling to him. He rolls his eyes and shrugs a bit to get you up and walking by yourself. 

“Sure, you can come with me. Maybe you can get some of your own chapstick while you’re at it.” He teases and gives you a smile. You shove him playfully.

“Then where would be my reason to kiss you?”

“Maybe you can just kiss your boyfriend?” He raises an eyebrow at you and opens the door to the store for you. 

“Nah! It’s more fun this way.” 

He gets jealous when you do in fact find a chapstick and stop kissing him when your lips get chapped

He 100% hides the chapstick so you have to come to him again

Hinata

Cake

Another one to steal your chapstick

It was a random one you had in your bag so you just gave it to him from your stash

Definitely only uses cake flavors now because it reminds him of you

Hinata looked around everywhere for the small tube of vanilla cake chapstick you had given him. He was upset that he couldn’t find it. Where was it? He looked everywhere before he gave up. He was sulking on the couch when you returned home. “Y/N, I’m sorry.” He sniffles.

You rush over to him and sit down in front of him. “Oh, Sho, what’s wrong?” You cup his face.

“I lost the chapstick you gave me.” You start laughing. 

“Is that it?” You smile and rummage through your bag before pulling out another chapstick. “I have more, you know.” You hand the chapstick to him. Birthday Cake. 

You noticed he liked the cake flavors so you kept a stash with you at all times incase he happened to lose another one

He found the chapstick he lost the next week, turns out he left it at practice

When you lose your chapstick though he’s there proudly offering the one you gave to him

Makki

Hot Coco

Got it on a whim

Now during Christmas time he stocks up because you told him you liked how his lips tasted once

This doesn’t mean he doesn’t like playing tricks on you though

Remember that trend where people were kissing their partners with lip plumper? Yeah he 100% did that to you

Makki smiled as his plan was coming together. You were going to come home any minute and he was the picture of a doting boyfriend. Sitting on the couch waiting patiently for you to return so you could give him a kiss. 

When you do finally walk through the door you smile and rush to your boyfriend. He’ll never get over how your face lights up when you see him. It’s probably one of his favorite things, that he can make you happy just by being there. You immediately go down to kiss him. After a few minutes though your lips start tingling. Your eyes narrow at him. “Makki. Did you put lip plumper on?”

“Are my kisses that electric to you honey?” He says with a shit eating grin on his face. Well, that answers that question. 

It’s okay though, you get back at him 

You two keep each other on your toes but there’s no denying that when you kiss him and taste hot coco you fall in love all over again

Iwaizumi

Mint

A traditional man

Not against changing flavors if you give it to him though

He always has one on him, a habit he picked up from Oikawa

Definitely teases you though when you first kissed him and recoiled because you weren’t expecting mint

You had finally worked up enough nerve to kiss Iwaizumi. You lean in slowly but once your lips touch you jump back. Your lips tingle and you’re not sure why. Iwaizumi starts laughing though. “My lips are so tingly!” You whisper-yell and put your hand over your mouth. It’s then that you notice the smell of mint. “Hajime! How could you,” you push him back a little. 

“Sorry my love! I didn’t know you would react like that!” This time though you’re prepared when he kisses you again. The tingling of the mint fades away quickly and it’s replaced by the warmth of his lips

As a result his kisses are cold and then warm

You learn to love the cold and find it refreshing, especially if he’s coming back from his morning run and you need a kiss to wake you up

Pair that with his mint toothpaste and you’ve got a recipe to wake you up and get ready for the day

Mattsun

Blueberry Poptart

He tries to find the weirdest flavors he can

He just also really likes the Blueberry Poptart flavor though so it’s the one he always comes back to

It’s a hard flavor to find but he thinks it’s worth it for the smile you make when you notice the flavor

Chapstick game with his collection

Mattsun thought with his collection of wacky flavors it would be fun to play the chapstick game. A good excuse to kiss you as much as he wanted to without any other reason. Of course you agreed so here the two of you were, sitting on your bed with chapstick splayed out on the blanket. 

“So, do you want to go first?” You ask as you look at all the options. Mattsun smiles and nods. 

“Yeah, sure. Close your eyes though. No cheating.” He could care less about if you cheated or not. He just wanted to kiss you for hours. Hence why he brought out his full collection of 60 different flavors. You were going to be here for a while.

It was the chapstick you were wearing on your first date when he kissed you (That’s why he comes back to it) 

You two also definitely play the chapstick game again whenever either of you want to kiss each other without a good reason

Sakusa

Cherry

Another simple man

He just wants his lips to be hydrated

Enjoys your smile when you kiss him and realize it’s cherry though

There’s nothing sentimental about it you just like the taste of cherry chapstick

Your first kiss wasn’t anything spectacular. The both of you were nervous but weren’t sure why. The two of you had kissed other people before so why was it so nerve wracking this time? Sakusa is the one who gets his head together first and cups your face. He pulls down his mask and smiles softly at you. “Are you ready?”

You nod your head with a shaky smile. Both of you lean in and it’s a very nice kiss. It’s gentle and you’re not sure why you were so worried before. The both of you pull away with a smile. “That wasn’t so scary. We were just being silly. Also, the cherry is nice. I like it.” You say and lean back in for another. He lets out a small chuckle and leans back in too. 

Will only try a new chapstick if you’re the one wearing it

If he really wants to try it he’ll give you a quick kiss before standing back up and acting like nothing happened

Atsumu

Fanta

Another weird chapstick connoisseur 

He just really likes Fanta so he keeps some on him wherever he goes

He has at least 6 of them at a time; One in his gym bag, school bag, pants pocket, jacket pocket, one at home on the counter, and one on the bedside table

Also on that enjoys the shocked look on your face

He had only just started carrying around chapstick after he learned your lips could get sunburnt. Needless to say when you kissed him goodbye that morning Fanta was certainly not what you were expecting to taste. He just stands there smirking as you lick your lips confused. “Is that…Fanta? Do you have Fanta chapstick?” 

“Guilty as charged.” He says and leans against the door frame. “Want another one?” You roll your eyes but pull him into another kiss. 

“Not what I was expecting but it’s not bad.” 

Switches it up with other soda flavors

Loves surprising you but that doesn’t mean you can’t surprise him too

You find a Pepper chapstick and rewrap it so it looks like the Fanta one

Payback for all the times he’s pranked you

Part 3 Jock and nerd trope

Manipulative Jock and somewhat naive nerd

How I imagine this is the yandere jock and the nerdy reader are a partner on a lab assessment; The Jock has hundreds of friends, and the reader has a small friend group. As both of you work on the project, the two of you become best friends; it comes to the point where the two of you hang almost 24/7 and sometime cancel plans with others just to hang out. You're so excited that you have a new friend that's willing to hang out with you that you don't really know how your own friends don't talk to you anymore or that people around you to don't sit around you anymore. The only times you talk to your friends are when in person and it's barely 5 minutes. Though, it's fine, The Jock seemingly comforts you and tells you that you don't need them anyway since you got him. Later on, it seems like no one likes you or wants anything to do with you, and you feel like you're all alone. You break down to the jock and tells you that one's really care about you and that he's the only that would just 'kill for you' and that he really does love you and would just love to make it official. You immediately say yes not knowing all the things that jock has done to this point; bulling your old friends into staying away, threating others around you, and twisting word to making you believe no one loves you other than him.

Hey!! I had some dialogue bouncing in my head for a Rayllum s4 (the dragon prince) harsher fight scene, so I sort of just scribbled it out. This occurs when they find out that Soren hadn’t come back. Anything that doesn’t sound like canon has been shamelessly ignored for my idea, my apologies. It’s not fully fleshed and mostly dialogue focus but here it is :))

“A desperate silence hangs between them. Desperate for understanding, for each other. “I’m sorry Callum, okay? I didn’t know.”

Callum scoffs, smirking sarcastically. “You didn’t know?”

Rayla stares into his eyes. Is he serious right now? She furrows her eyebrows. “No, Callum. I didn’t know the Crown Guard wouldn’t be able to find his way through a bit of greenery.”

“It was dark out, Rayla!”

“He had a lamp!” Rayla lifts her arms defensively and it only takes a single look at Callum’s face to know she’d hit a minefield. In an attempt to pull this mess together, she starts, “I messed up, Callum, I’m-“

But he finishes. “What, Rayla? What, you’re sorry? You didn’t know what you know now? You’re going to fix it?” He adds the last bit in air quotes, turning around and pacing as his voice gets angrier. “Here’s the thing with you Rayla: you don’t know anything. But instead of waiting and learning and observing and paying attention to anything other than your own opinions—“

“‘Anything other than my own opinions’, are you kidding—“

—the great non-assassin just has to act instead!” And Callum is furious, and he’s more alive than she’s seen since two years ago. Maybe even since she’s known him. “You couldn’t even kill Viren if you saw him, Rayla.” His chest heaves back and forth, and he’s only a few feet away. “You left just to what? Get a sighting?”

Quietly, Rayla strides towards Callum and closes the gap. He softens a bit—-no less angry, but a little more hurt. She begins to open her mouth, yet becomes cut off again.

“And you know what, Rayla?” he asks, voice raspy.

She doesn’t want to take this. He has no idea. He has no idea why she does what she does, he didn’t bother to remember the full picture. Only the successful parts. The ones where everybody makes it out alive. She hates the fact that she’s about to be silent; about to let him finish off stabbing her with a knife of anger and pain. But the smallest voice inside her says to listen. Don’t be what he insists she is.

Gritting her teeth, she inhaled deeply as she asks, “What, Callum?”

“For all the so-called ‘protecting’ you did-“ He uses air quotes during protecting, as if he wasn’t standing here right now with two working legs. “I got hurt, anyways.”

Rayla chuckles dryly, hot air covering Callum’s face. “Nice speech, Callum. You know, I’m really glad you were able to say it. Unlike oh…what’s his name?” She snaps, mimicking effort to think of her fallen father. Of the endless, imaginative scenarios where he suffers mercilessly in each one. Of Ezran’s dad and Callum’s basically-dad. Who she indirectly killed by not acting fast enough. She tilts her head downward, returning Callum’s glare. “Oh, I know!” she says with faux enthusiasm. “Unlike Runaan. Or your dad. Or anyone who died because I waited, Callum. You know, me and all my great non-assassinating”

A lump forms in his throat, his eyes displaying a sudden unreadable pain. Taking a few steps back, he begins to speak. Though now it’s he who remains unheard as Rayla cuts him off.

“You’ve spent all this time being mad at me, Callum.” Her voice softens as she blinks back a few unexpected tears. “But I’d be—I am, ecstatic to have a choice between you being angry or alive. Everyday, I’d choose saving you over saving us.”

They stare at each other from a distance. Tears run down her face. Silence hangs between them.

Silence is all they have left to say.

Drabble? Drabble. It's self indulgent time homies :D

The gentle breeze carried through the house as a faint whistle. A window must've been left cracked open. A bit of fresh air was always nice but...

"ugh can you shut up already!"

Somebody was a little upset. Wiping around to go confront the faint noise that only seemed to be amped x10 given the bad mood was none other than farmer! The pinkette that stood at around 5'7" small but not too small but certainly boiling over with rage right now. Marching they took a few paces over to their bedroom window grabbing at the sill and bringing it down harshly onto the frame, harshly and carelessly as when it was done they also let out a loud hiss. It wasn't anything bad but it was just their luck that their thump would fall victim to their carless anger driven actions. They held the throbbing limb pacing around the room as if they could just walk off the pain.

Meanwhile out of the farm a certain blueberry haired female had heard the sound of something slamming and their partners pained sob echo into the barn house, they sighed knowing that Shroom was carless as ever, it probably wasn't a big deal but the anxiety of it *being* a big deal is what prompted Emily to cut animal time short today and go check in with their partner. Securing the barn gate, Em began her journey which was only a little jog to their nice an small home. It wasn't gonna be anything worth jumping up for certainly, Shroom probably just burnt themselves with the kettle...... Again. Pushing back any sort of anxious thoughts she might've had she took in a large breath of crisp spring air preparing herself for whatever trouble she may have to aid her partner through. Quietly stepping inside she took in her surroundings, the tv was left on some Queen of Sauce re:run playing, Mushie all bundled up on the couch, everything seemed relatively normal! See it was fine! Nothing to worry about. Em chuckled shaking her head and to think she got all worked up over.... Wait, wait wait no. It only took a moment but once she basked in the rooms mood it became all too clear the air was thick in other terms gloomy. Em was definetly picking up on more melancholy, sour vibes.

The bluenette bit the inside of her lip scanning the rest of the home. Well if Shroom wasn't in the kitchen or the living room that only left.... Emily silently tiptoed over to their bedroom door, peeking into the room where they watched a snippet of their partners mental breakdown unravel.

"oh whY can't you just be nOrMaL, tHis and tHat oh oH yoUr giRlfRieNds goNna lEavE yoU for somEonE who actually kNOWS who they are"

Said pinkette who was shouting at themselves in Ems body mirror looked to be a total mess. Eyes red and puffy, their top somehow on the ceiling? Shroom letting out another angry, broken sob. Their thumb was practically purple and they kept forgetting about this while in the heat of the breakdown bending it which made the pain much worse.

"I-I mean! Look at yourself, you're a mess... " Dropping their head in defeat they looked just about ready to collapse onto the floor, laying in their own muddied sorrow didn't sound so bad....

However a certain somebody wasn't going to let that slide!

"A mess? Doesn't totally sum it up but it's not wrong"

That familair chirpy voice cut through the thick air causing our pinkette to jump, startled and turn around facing the owner of the spry voice!

"E-Em I.. I... Yo..u.."

"shshshsh you don't need to say anything"

Gingerly the bluenette led her partner to their favorite giant blue teddy bear. It doubled down as a beanbag chair and that's exactly what its purpose was going to be here. Emily plopped down on the enormous plush being smiling up at her sniffling partner. She gestured the other to sit in her lap in which they hadn't even hesitated to do. Within a heart beat the were in the others lap, head on her chest letting the paler being completley engulf them. Emily knew her partner long enough to know that if Shroom wanted to talk about it, it would be on their own terms. And so she she patiently waited, running her slender fingers through the others soft pink locks. They basked in silence for a good ten minutes, the farmers sobbing and sniffling finally dying down as they cleared their throat. Breaking the silence and following it up with a question

"You're not with me... Cos you pity me right?"

The question genuinely caught the other off guard, leaving them speechless she gave her smaller partner a puzzled look to which they continued

"it's just.... I'm *different* y'know... I don't, I'm not like..... Normal.." they were chocking up, it happened a lot when things got more personal, shroom was just horrible at expressing themselves.

"Love, nobody's 'normal' we al--"

"NO ITS NOT LIKE THAT!"

Shroom cut the other off sounding like they were going to have another fit. The pinkette shifted themselves so that they were now stradling their significant other. Face to face with them.

"wouldn't you rather be with someone who knows who they are.. what their doing... Wh--" shroom bit their lip they couldn't even finish their sentence feeling choked up on a sob that wanted out

Emily could tell they were really struggling with this, enough for them to catch onto what could've possibly sprouted this breakdown. She brought a hand up to shrooms chest gently placing it over their heart

"Hon, I wouldn't care if you were certain you were a boy, a girl, an attack helicopter..... At the end of the day were all just skin and bone. What really matters is this"

She gently ran her thumb over the fabric that kept her parents chest binded

"my.... Binder..?"

"no you dingus your heart. You're kind Shroom, full of love to give.... I didn't fall in love with you because of whatever was in your pants. I fell in love with the fool that has a heart that's too big for their lil body"

The bluenette peppered their partners face in millions of lil kisses earning a small laugh from the other

"okok.. sheesh no need to be so cheesy Em"

A lil snide remark from the other whose spirits were definitely lifted all thanks to their partner

"ohoh and this is coming from the same person who wrote me a sappy poem every night up til the day we got married?"

She cocked a brow confident that she'd trapped her foolish partner. Whiiiiiich

"i-H-- uh..." Ohhh and they're flustered

"h-hey..! Try being in my shoes for a day I couldn't not shower the prettiest girl I know in love an affection"

"awh, hon sounds like you might be a simp" Emily giggled,teasing her partner was definetly one of her favorite past times one of the many!

"I... I'll kick you out if you don't shut uP"

Em giggled again bringing their flustered lil pink farmer into a nice tight hug

"I'm sure you would.... Now please before it's too late, were going to pay Harvey a visit, I've seen your thumb, it looks awful!"

Synopsis: How the Haikyuu setters react to you getting dressed up for their game

Suga

I think he’s also a blushy boy

Gets so excited when he gets subbed in bcs I think he would feel sad if he didn’t get to play while you’re all dressed up

The moment Suga sees you he can feel his face heating up. He’s almost glad he isn’t playing right now, he’s not sure he would be able to play properly with you looking so cute. He was wondering where his extra jersey went and he finally found his answer, you’re wearing it. He kind of freezes in place and misses what’s going on in the game because you’re smiling so brightly and look so cute while you’re cheering. 

After the game he runs up to the barrier between the stands and you come down to greet him. “My love, you played so well,” you say leaning over the railing to speak to him easier. 

“Don’t lean over the railing where you could fall.”

“You would catch me.”

“Maybe, might let you fall and learn your lesson.” You roll your eyes and go over to the stairs. He sees his number on your cheek and your pom poms much clearer when you’re in front of him.

Definitely feels like he plays better when you’re there

He’s coming over to the stands at the end of the game and looking up at you asking you to come down

Literally looks at you in awe 

Kags

Is able to concentrate on the game unlike some of the others on this list lol

Yells at you flustered because he was very close to not being able to play correctly anymore

He sees you at what he would call the worst time. But it could’ve been much worse. He had just set the ball and he’s landing back down when he sees you with your sign and how loud you’re cheering. He knows it’s over for him when the others see you (how could they not you were cheering pretty loud).

“Did the King finally con someone into being his queen?” Tsukki teases during the small pause. His face grows warm and he sends a glare to Tsukki.

“I didn’t con them.” he grumbles under his breath. He looks up at you again and sees you grinning at him and looking at him like he hung the stars in the sky. He gives you a small smile back.

Do it again (he loves is but will act like he doesn’t)

Deals with the teasing from everyone else bcs they most definitely tease him

Atsumu

I would like to think Osamu actually sees you first and bursts out laughing (not bcs you don’t look good pookie but bcs of how Atsumu is going to react)

Quickly tells Suna to start recording because this is about to be comedy gold

Sees you when he’s serving (oops)

He throws the ball up and then it hits him on the head bcs he malfunctions when he sees you

Osamu lets out a small laugh and covers his mouth, the team is warming up currently, when he sees you. He elbows Suna and points in the stands to see you waving down at them and then point to your boyfriend. “Sunarin, start recording this is gonna be hilarious.” He whispers to the other as Suna nods and pulls out his phone with a smile. “Hey scrub!” Osamu calls out to his brother.

“What do you want? I’m in the middle of doing something!”

“Nothing, you’ll see later then.” He did try to warn him. He didn’t say he would try very hard so he just looks back at you with a shrug. The minute Atsumu goes to serve Suna zooms in while recording. When Atsumu throws the ball up he makes the mistake of finding you in the audience. Needless to say everyone was laughing as they watched his face turn red and the ball hit him on his head. 

Doesn’t have it in him to yell about you messing up his serves (he’s too shocked to anyway lol)

Semi

Malfunctions when he sees you

Luckily he’s not playing so he has time to collect himself

Unluckily Tendo also sees you and he knows he’s done for

Cue teasing and him trying to act like it didn’t have an effect on him

Semi sees you when they’re doing stretches to get ready to play. He pauses mid stretch, which gets him yelled at, and before he can compose himself Tendo also happens to see you. “Oho? Semi Semi, why didn’t you let the rest of us know you had such a cute little cheerleader?” Tendo teases as they stretch.

“Exactly that, they’re my cheerleader.” He glares at Tendo but then his face softens when he sees you wave slightly at him. He waves back with a gentle grin on his face. When he waves back he sees how your face lights up and you quickly gesture to your outfit and poster. You were going to be the death of him, he’s sure. 

“Save some for the rest of us.” Tendo rolls his eyes as he watches the exchange. 

Very happy that you’re cheering for him and it gives him more confidence when he plays again

One of the lucky ones that gets to see you before he even goes on the court. He’s not as bad as Bokuto where he needs to be told there’s as girls cheering him on in order to play better. But he can’t lie when he says it’s definitely a welcomed surprise. “Y/N?” He after you come up to him. He takes a moment to fully appreciate your outfit, the bracelets, the pom poms, his jersey. 

“Oh no, is it too much?” You ask as you cover your mouth in surprise. He immediately shakes his head and grabs your hands in his.

“No, it’s perfect.” You smile and bring his hands up to your mouth and place a gentle kiss on each finger. If he wasn’t flustered before he certainly is now, even though you do this before every game. 

He’s another one who’s able to focus on the game but only because he saw you beforehand

synopsis: He can't handle himself when you flirt back with him

Everyone knows Nishinoya is a flirt. A confident person, outgoing, loud but sweet. Now when it comes to you? The first time something happens the team gets concerned that he’s just sick. (He’s not). He freezes and his face gets really red, and he’s babbling. It takes them a moment to realize he is just flustered. 

You weren’t usually outgoing but something about Noya made you more confident. Maybe it was the reward of his red faced blubbering that gave you confidence. Since you had started flirting with him the two of you had become friends. When you weren’t making him blush you were making him laugh, intentionally or not. 

Today was no exception. It was lunch and you had the most devious idea in your head. “Hey Noya? Can you see what that it?” You say and point at nothing, not that Noya knew that though. When he turns his head you use the same hand you used to point and turned his face back to you. Pointer finger and thumb holding his chin. “Sorry, must’ve been a trick of the light.” 

Poor Noya. His face immediately goes red and his mouth hangs open. “Close your mouth darling, you’ll catch bugs.” You smirk and let your hand drop and return to your lunch. 

He covered his face with his hands and shook his head. “Y/N! You. You can’t just!”

“Can’t just what?”

“Flirt without meaning it!”
