There’s a certain dissonance between Val and Minori’s talents that he appreciates. Cryptozoology often focuses on what is unknown, or might not exist - compared to the job of a political officer, who has to base their every action on certain fact. I think that these differences would make him look up to them in a lot of ways. Not to mention, Valor is a complete history nerd, so they could literally talk to him for hours on end about the extensive history of cryptid sightings.
I’d imagine this would lead to a lot of debating, as Valor’s a realist, and would try to come up with logical explanations behind Cryptozoological findings (Ex. The Loch Ness Monster photo was actually of a swan, etc.)

I can totally see these two as the types that teach each other skills that could help each other in their varying fields. Valor is really good at drawing in and impressing officials in his field of work, and he’d definitely be willing to show Minori how they could apply his tactics to their career. Likewise, Valor does have weaknesses in terms of documenting his findings and researching, something that Minori could possibly be able to help Valor out with. Idk I just see them as??? friends who help one another.
