Sitting on the corner bench is a lone girl- bent over her phone and biting into her lower lip. The phone blips, signifying she's received a message, causing the girl to straighten up and tap at the phone a bit. Hazel eyes shift over the screen, her expression slowly falling before she lets out a rather loud huff of disappointment. Her shoulders drop once more, and she sets her phone back into her bag, letting a few loose strands of hair fall into her face.

Do you wanna do the rp thing now or-
Ava sat on the operating table, shaking nervously as she contemplated her choice on this. Was she really willing to go through with it? Sure it would be a huge help not only with her headaches, but also with balancing out her vision better, too... But...
She couldn't get the thought of the pain she would go through, wasn't there always a chance of failure? A chance she wouldn't get off the table alive? No. No, she must have trust in her friend and her skill, she wouldn't back down now, not when she's already set her mind on it like this. She took a deep breath, her shaking now going from nervous to anticipation, or perhaps a mixture of the two.
The door opened and Ava jumped a little, through the door walked in her close friend, holding a clipboard and mumbling softly. Ava watched as she moved to the counters to the left of the room, and prepared herself to perform the operation. Hitomi then walked over to Ava, bringing with her a tray of medical intruments that she could recognize few of. She looked to her friend, an enthusiastic smile was seen on the scientist's face.
Everything felt as if it was in a haze, her mind was loud with thought after thought, reassuring thoughts and non alike. She heard her friend say something, although she half understood it, and instead let the girl gently lean her down on the table. Ava stared up, her eyes focused, yet not seeing anything in particular. Hitomi said a few more words, possibly important, yet Ava could still not get them to register in her head, and as soon as there was a mask on her mouth and nose, she assumed then it was just her letting her know it was time to sleep.
"Let's just... Ge..t... This o..ve...r wi......th...." Ava weakly said as she let the gas relax her, and soon put her to sleep. The last image she saw was of Hitomi wielding a medical intrument.
--------
It felt like everything was moving in some way. Not spinning, just moving, up and down, left and right, it felt strange yet calming at the same time. Ava opened her eyes, yet once again could only see out of one. She was laying down in what looked like a hospital room, perhaps the recovery room? She wasn't sure, she knew surprisingly little about hospitals, and rarely went to them really.
She tried to lift herself up a bit, but felt the room actually start to spin and instantly plopped back down on the pillow with a low groan. She moved one hand over her right eye, and instead of feeling her usual eyepatch or the scarred skin, she felt a soft cloth that felt as if it was taped on with soft tape. She assumed this meant the operation was a success, and smiled a little at the thought.
She finally realized that there was someone else in the room with her, and quickly recognized it to be the exact girl who performed the operation. A small smile and a worried look was on Hitomi's face as she sat next to the bed. She asked Ava if she was already, how she felt, if there was any pain, a bunch of questions really, yet Ava could only understand a few.
She stared at her friend with a blank expression, before a smile softly arose on her face, "I am... Okay now, a lot... Better. I will be okay." It seems her speech was still slightly dazed by the gas. She could see her friend smile wider and chuckle, her commenting about how she's speaking, and then telling her to rest up, that she'll need it, and then standing up to walk out, taking a clipboard with her on her way out.
Ava leaned back with a content sigh, happy that she not only helped her friend with research, but also got rid of a huge pain that was on her shoulders for the longest time. Her eye was gone, this might bring complications, and will no doubt take some getting used to, but she felt it would all be worth it. With a loud yawn and a lighter feeling, she drifted off into a soft sleep.
