A Phone Call Away.
If one were to search for the small doll maker, you probably wouldn't find her in her room. Actually, it would have been really hard to find the young girl, not anywhere where she could have probably been. Had she left the school? Had she been kidnapped?
Well, you could have said that.
Sachiko Inoue stood outside the school gates, a light jacket on her shoulders and phone in her hand. She seemed to be...waiting for something. There was no indication of what, only that she was rocking back and forth on her heels as she waited. She seemed to be excited. She looked up and down the street, then back down to her phone.
When he gave off a familar ringtone, she picked it up almost instantly.
"Momma?"
A surprisingly chipper voice came from the other end. Sachiko had to hold the phone away from her ear for a second, not used to the loudness of the call.
"Yes! Oh gosh honey I'm so sorry, but this cab driver took a wrong turn and we ended up going the complete opposite direction! I might be a few more minutes, alright! I hope you have a jacket on. You have a jacket on, correct? It's cool outside! I know I was outside already."
"Yes momma, I'm wearing a jacket. I'll see you soon. I love you."
"I love you too honey! See you soon!"
----
The woman on the other end of the line quickly shut her phone off, the big smile on her face from hearing her daughters voice almost instantly fading away. It was replaced with a sad frown as she looked out of the window of the taxi she was in. Her hangs wrung together, seemingly in deep thought.
How was she going to tell her?
