predesp?? they were in the same friend group and she honestly would have liked her? for one thing their talents are somewhat similar, as talents go, both making things with heat and stuff, and Brynja is inoffensive

During the whole prologue and up to the point where Shoko touched Yoshiki and realized he was Actually Dead, she thought this entire thing was a ruse, some sort of hazing ceremony hopes peak prepared. So she thought Brynjas outburst and execution were planned and staged, and she was a really good actress. Like. REALLY good. She felt a twinge of empathy at her ‘acting’ but? Nice Try, I’ve Got This.

But when she realized this was real she was just. Nope. I mean? For the most part she was able to hold off on her Realization until after Takas execution at which point. B Y E. She made an effort after that not to think too much about the past because that would make her emotionally distressed so she just focused on what she had to do for the most part. BUT. if she looked back on Brynja now she’d feel guilty that she didn’t take her death seriously and just treated it as a show. I mean not seriously guilty bc Shoko is trash, but she would be miffed at herself. And especially with the way she died?? She was separated from her brother and the emotional turmoil of their executions being fucking connected and they couldn’t even talk to each other but it was very clear how much they loved each other and now im crying about the twins bUT

I mean especially now after she had a Sad Time remembering how shitty she was to her own bro, she empathizes with her a ton and thinks it was really unfair for her to die as a result of siblings just trying to find each other again.

About this song: I felt like a song for the twins should have lots of "twin notes", so I put in a lot of short intervals, and all. And, besides that...I wanted to try making a song that sounded mournful and wintery and far-away-belonging-to-the-land-of-the-dead, and nostalgic and some justifiably angry, too, at the same time,

or at least one of those things, or something. Whatever, "Aurora Borealis" was the only thing I could name it, anyway.
