Who made the first move; 

Brenda. Mostly because Newt wouldn’t and it was irking her.

Who said ‘I love you’ first; 

It’s fifty fifty, but guaranteed that whoever said it first said it during a shouting match with the other over something completely insignificant and ridiculous.

How often they fight; 

It’s not how often, it’s to what degree. They always range from mild bickering to screaming, shouting and throwing things. Usually, they maintain a nice level of bickering/snarking at one another, which is their equivalent of flirting.

Whose big spoon/little spoon; 

Newt/Brenda, because Brenda is really short, and much to her chagrin, she has to concede this one to him.

What their nicknames are for each other; 

Newt occasionally refers to her as “short stack”, and promptly gets elbowed in the ribs over it. In more serious moments, he tends to revert to calling her “love”.

Whose the better cook; 

It’s about even? Newt’s spent too much time with Frypan to not have picked up a few things, and Brenda’s had to survive mostly on her own a little too often to have not picked up the basics.

Their song; 

I don’t even know.

Who remembers their anniversaries; 

They both do. Newt takes more care in noticing the passing of time after the trials are over, and Brenda’s pretty hyper aware of everything, including the date.

Their favorite thing to do together (besides sex); 

Aside from the constant bickering, they spend a lot of time playing really dumb things like chess and checkers and card games—mostly because they want to prove they can outsmart the other. There’s a score board and everything.

Who ‘wears the pants’ in the relationship; 

Probably Brenda, to be completely honest.

How they would get engaged;

It was literally the most mundane, spur of the moment thing. They were lying in bed and it was weirdly late, and Brenda was half asleep—Newt was still pretty awake, because even after the trials, he doesn’t sleep very well—and he just kind of looked at her being peaceful for once, and it slipped out. He didn’t plan on asking her—because it never really occurred to him that they should need to get married—but the second he says it, he’s completely serious about it. Even if he didn’t think she was going to say yes.

What their wedding would be like;

It was quiet. Just a couple of the Gladers, and they couldn’t officially, or legally get married, but there’s a cute little ceremony Thomas gives Brenda away, and Minho as their technical leader officiates the vows (And makes a lot of bad jokes throughout), and when they kiss, first Newt dips Brenda—and then Brenda dips him.

How many kids they’ll have; 

If they ever did which they wouldn’t because Newt has a thing about not bringing children into such a messed up world/being unreliable and therefore an unfit parent, it would just be the one—a little girl who by the age of four has her sights set on out running her Uncle Minho and can’t sit still for more than three seconds and she’s so painfully curious.
