Enid woke up on a cold, hard, concrete surface. Her green eyes fluttered open and she took in a sharp breath as she pulled herself up into a sitting position, immediately searching for a knife or a gun on her person but finding nothing. The survivor had nothing to protect herself and she needed to find something quick. As she sat up, a ring and a room key fell out of her pocket and Enid hurried to pick them back up. She knew her breathing must be drawing attention to her, but Enid didn’t know where she was or what she could do.
When she felt someone stop in front of her, Enid glanced up for a split second awkwardly, trying not to draw attention to herself. “I’m fine.” She said quickly.
