congenitalprogramming said: Can you tell me about Sugah? I think that's his name, sorry if I'm remembering it wrong i's been so long since I've seen him but I loved his lil gator head and I always wanted to know his backstory.
sure! i forgot i had these old sketches buried so thank you for reminding me.
Shugah is a mutant with magical/science bs origins. he comes from a place with a LOT of magical pollution resulting in chimeras of all sorts. he was actually born from a regular crocodile egg from almost regular crocodile parents who lived in a super polluted river. seems his mom snacked on a passing human traveler while he was gestating and fucked his genes all the way up. his siblings were mostly normal though, the ones that weren’t were plain stillborn. his mother didn’t exactly turn him away but she was smart enough to know that something was up with her weird hairy baby. luckily, he was adopted by a mutant alligator lady with a similar situation and not lives with his new mom and grandparents at her diner where she caters to the mutant and monster people of their tiny town.
he’s a reclusive, lazy, quiet, weirdo who loves to cook and never brushes his giant hair unless he’s under threat of death. the crocodile part of his head is actually the remnants of a parasitic twin that’s melded with him down the entire length of his spine.
