A fierce, cold wind blew in as Wilfred and I were walking back inside the castle after a trip visiting my family in Nobel Michael. I had to adjust my scarf that I wore to cover my mouth to at least block some of it out.
Wilfred had noticed while he walked next to me. "Here, get closer, Haru." I was pushed up against him from his hand on my waist. While I wasn't that cold, I appreciated the gesture and didn't pay attention to the sound of some cameras snapping pictures.
I never realized just how long of a walk it was to the front doors until now. It was so cold that I wanted to get inside and bundle up but at the same time, I wanted this sweet moment to end.
The wind blew harshly, completely undoing my scarf since I had been distracted to keep it around me while lost in my thoughts. It was like slow motion: Wilfred reached out and caught it before it could fly away. I could hear the shouts of the paparazzi but I couldn't make out what they were saying. All I was paying to was Wilfred as he wrapped it around me and then gave me a kiss out of no where on the cheek.
I brought up a hand to touch the now hot cheek. Did that really just happen...? "T-Thank you..."
Wilfred sent me a soft smile. "I couldn't help myself... You're so beautiful." He leaned a little to whisper the next words into my ear, "I wanted to warm you up a little before going into the castle."
My cheeks flared up again. He always catches me off guard like that.
Still with a smile on his face, Wilfred took my hand and we continued walking to the front doors while the security began clearing away the paparazzi.
"When we get inside, let's take a hot bath. Together."
At this rate, I wouldn't need to!
