Kenji would take this day to sit down and reflect on himself, his goals, his morals and his ideals. He had taken himself to a small and cozy cafe to do so, instead of just pondering in his apartment all day. With the things that were happening around him, together with the fact that his stay at these glorified testing grounds had been over three months now, the banchou had to level with himself.
Just what did he feel like, what did he want and how did he envision things?
Though he could say that nothing has changed, things most certainly have changed: He’s gotten much closer with individuals than he might have expected before, he had gotten a job (granted, it was a job as a mercenary, but a job was a job) and there were other things he had been thinking of.
The first two months of his stay he had spent without Canaria, due to this he had to compromise and act a lot nicer than he really was, which had gotten him involved with quite some people. Now that he had gotten his humble original back, though, he wanted to show his true colors... But were the true colors he was thinking of still his true colors now?
This was the thing that bothered him most of all. To take a break from his thought he sipped his tea and enjoyed the atmosphere that this place had, it was calming... Something that he had a need for when thinking things such as these through. At least Kenji could admit to himself that, despite how good he was at introspection, this topic was simply a bit too big to tackle headfirst.
It was all tangling up too fast, though... There was too much that he had to sort out for him to actually do it himself. After a bit of pondering about that the swordsman figured that the best course of action was to find someone to have some small talk with.
So he decided to pick up his cup of tea and sit with one of the few others who was alone at this cafe. Luckily he found just the right person. With his cup of tea in his hands he smiled kindly.
“Do you mind having a conversation with this stranger? There’s a few things this humble self simply cannot figure out on his own.”
