Another thing that's happening on other social medias. Shutdown315. It's simple. Not everybody has the ability to participate, but if you can, you should. You should also spread awareness.
It's an ambitious protest (even tho they say it's not a protest). I will be engaging. This does mean no participation with anything that has advertising, at least not without an adblocker and paywall bypass. That said, if you're using the internet, you should use Firefox, with the extension Ublock Origin and NextDNS.
Join the movement to uphold the Constitution and end executive overreach. 50 protests, 50 states, 1 day: #50501.

SHUTDOWN315
March 15th - shut down the economy!
Buy nothing, go nowhere, use as little electricity and plumbing as possible!
I know it isn't possible for everyone to do everything.
But if you can
-do not go to work or school, keep your kids home from school and daycare
-do not go anywhere, do not drive anywhere, do not spend money anywhere
-use as little utilities as possible, leave the lights off, don't do dishes or laundry, skip the showers and baths, turn your heating down
-don't use any streaming services, don't use google, Facebook, Instagram, threads or any other site that is connected to Meta. Dont use your Kindle, don't even browse Amazon. Use your phone only for calling and texting that day.
We are going for a general strike, a complete shutdown!
Due to financial, physical or emotional constraints, many people will not be able to do everything on the list. That is understandable! If you cannot do everything on the list, please do what you can! And please spread the word!
I know it's the ides of March, and that is a big day on tumblr. If you don't want to miss it, then maybe ONLY be on tumblr that day!
Read books, play boardgames, do crafts or puzzles. Walk outside. Download fanfic or games that you can play without connecting to the net. Write. Give your pets, and/or your kids lots of concentrated time and attention. Rent movies from your library through Hoopla or whatever way your library system has. Organize a drawer. Talk to or text your friends and family, ALL of them! Plan out your wardrobe or meals for the next week. Download all 900 pages of Project 2025 and read it to see why we need to do whatever we can to take back our power! Protest in whatever way you can!
I was removed from the Shutdown 315 movement as an admin and group member for calling attention to someone who said they were Abenaki (Vermont). They claim Coosuk of the Nulhegan band. I questioned why their tribe was considered fraudulent and why they were invited to the human rights council for their actions. I was only given deflection and a claim that a genealogist was a pedophile, but nothing to solidify any claims against them as wrong.
There was another Indigenous member removed and censored when asking why I was removed and pressing on why the "Abenaki" person was not held accountable for their fraudulence.
This same admin left 50501 after causing harm to their group and inciting violence. I was also privately messaged to incite violence which I did not do.
Here are some links to share their controversy by the First Nations tribe which are recognized.
