Assignment-1 ISO 100, 1/50 sec, f/4.5, 35mm

My favorite of this collection. I slowed down my shutter speed to 1/50 sec to show the movement of the garden sprinkler. The tiny water droplets reflect the sunlight creating what looks like sparks flying over the Aegopodium Variegatum (Bishop’s weed).

To freeze the motion of these happy pups running towards me, I set my shutter speed to 1/1000 sec. Shooting a bit later in the day when the sun was lower created lots of texture from shadows falling across the field of view.

I slowed down my shutter speed significantly to capture the steam from my tea dancing with the morning sunshine. I found that blowing gently over the top of my mug made for beautiful, smoky swirls. I also like the mini droplets that catch in the light.

Assignment-1 ISO 1000, 1/3200 sec, f/5.6, 55mm

Experimenting with different levels of reflection. The delicacy of the light on this bumblebee’s wings particularly caught my eye while walking through a local park. I upped my shutter speed in attempt to capture the creature mid-flight, but unfortunately, it still didn’t come out as clearly as I would have liked. Something to work on in the future!
