As Zack walks closer to the kitchen table, Alex’s eyes are glued to his hips, watching the way they move. And that’s when he realizes that maybe this babysitting shit won’t be too bad after all.

Jack is going to be a new boy at a new school, and his big senior brother Zack, is really his only friend. His best friend. That starts to change though when Jack meets Alex, a flamboyant youth in Jack's grade.
“Hey ‘Lex. Can you promise me something?” Jack asked carefully, a slight trace of fear in his voice.
“Sure. What is it?” He asked inquisitively, eyebrows meeting together in confusion. Jack met his gaze, with eyes filled with sorrow and heartache he uttered the one sentence that has been lingering in the back of his mind all day.
“Never leave me. Please.”
"Zack's a douchebag," "No, Zack's just shy."
I really am not either of those but confidence is a fucked up thing. After a while of hearing a constant insult or name tag for you, you have to believe it and be it because if not you're fake.
“But somehow, it wasn’t my cousin. I had just awkwardly hugged this stranger from behind.”
Alex and Jack have a complicated relationship; they have girlfriends, but behind their backs they sneak around.
Alex has been in love with Jack since he was nineteen and Jack eighteen, but it seems like Alex's feelings towards Jack aren't mutual.
Jack likes to party and have fun without thinking about the consequences, and not giving a damn about the people who truly care about him, like his girlfriend. And Alex.
Jack seems completely oblivious to his best friend’s feelings towards him and the same with Alex, Alex is completely oblivious towards the fact that Jack indeed has feelings for him.
