"Oh? This isn't my home?" she played on her age, on her wide eyes, perhaps he might just go a little easy on a confused little girl.

"This one's gonna be a real game-changer!" she declared, a grin stretching across her face as she kept her focus on the task at hand. "I can feel it in my bones," Jinx sang out as she expertly welded pieces of metal together. Sleep seemed like a distant notion, far from her mind, as she delved deeper into her work within the confines of her workshop. The likelihood of her pulling an all-nighter tinkering away was high, but that was perfectly fine by her. After all, she had no plans for tomorrow, and Silco had hinted that she could use some time to herself anyway.

A restless night had haunted Jinx's sleep, her mind plagued by troubling thoughts of abandonment. In the depths of her subconscious, she envisioned Silco walking away from her, leaving her alone in the pouring rain. It was a fear that gnawed at her, a nagging worry that perhaps one day he would tire of her constant mistakes and wash his hands of her altogether. Would he come to see her as more trouble than she was worth? The notion lingered like a shadow, casting doubt upon her every action.
As she sat with Silco now, her hand clasped in his, she couldn't help but search his eyes for reassurance. Would he prove to be another in a long line of disappointments? Vi's words echoed in her mind, a reminder of the doubts that had already begun to take root.
Yet, as she gazed into Silco's eyes, she found no deceit, no hint of betrayal. He had always been honest with her, even when the truth was difficult to hear.
"I don't want to let you down," she confessed, her voice tinged with vulnerability. It was a simple plea, born of a desire to earn his trust and prove her worth. Despite her fears, she held onto the hope that he would continue to stand by her, even in the face of her inevitable mistakes.

"No plans? Just do what I always do? You got it, Pops!" She grins mischievously, twirling a lock of her blue hair around her finger. She leans against the doorway, watching Silco intently as he pours over his papers.
"Preparations with Sevika? Oh, you know, same old, same old. She's a bit... intense, but we're getting there. You know me, always ready to bring some flair to Progress Day!". She paces around the office, her excitement palpable.
"Oh, speaking of which, I had this great idea for a new invention!"
"Picture this: exploding confetti cannons! Imagine the chaos and the color! It'll be a blast, literally!" She looks at Silco, waiting for his reaction, despite his continued focus on his work.

"I never said I was scared" she retorted swiftly, shooting down any insinuation of fear with a nonchalant glance. Despite her bored facade, learning that even Silco wrestled with nightmares provided a small comfort. The haunting images, the echoing voices, reminders of the lives she had taken—she owned them all. The blame rested squarely on her shoulders, a burden she couldn't shake.
"Sometimes they don't wait for sleep to haunt me," Jinx confessed, perched on the edge of his desk, meeting his scrutinizing stare as he settled into his chair. She sensed his eyes probing for the sincerity in her words, gauging her reactions. "How can you protect me from the dead? You're good, but you're not that good"
@si7co x
She raised a brow, looking at him with curious eyes. Being told no, only made her want to do it more. What could be so dangerous that he just leaves lying around? "Y'really gotta up yer security" she simply laughed, making herself at home on the arm chair.
"Why do you have that if it's so dangerous? What is it?" she asked, taking note of where he had locked it away, "I wanna know what you would get me doin' if I agreed to work for ya".

his gaze was fixed upon the figure before him, a consummate leader, lost in a maze of paperwork, with his attention seemingly consumed by the affairs of his burgeoning empire. he dared not to interrupt his work, certain that his presence had been long perceived and welcomed, leaving, in the meantime, space for his thoughts ⸻ there was a wave of conflicting emotions ( like currents battling beneath the surface of a tempest-tossed sea ) continuously surging within him. he could not help but feel a pang of melancholy tugging at his heartstrings whenever he stood before silco. their encounter was mere coincidence, with a deal being set upon a wooden table, sealed with a vocalised promise. but his sentiments had grown, mayhap for the absence of a father figure, mayhap for the non-existence of an amicable presence [ ... ] and he found it carefully carved in the obligations and responsibilities he shared with the older man.
❝ i've heard you were waiting for me. ❞ guttural vocals were finally spoken when gazes met, his lineaments naught but nonchalant and composed. ❝ i'm sorry for my absence... i've been training in the underground arenas. it has been a piece of cake, i must admit. ❞ a barely-there finally smirk tiptoed upon his scarred tiers, a pillar of strength and arrogance standing haughty and proud. ❝ kinda growing bothered of this place, @si7co. ❞
