Behind the scenes information about Film Make-up, Prosthetics, Hair and Wigs isn't often that easy to find, however around Oscars season there is a wealth of interviews with the top Make-up, Hair and Prosthetics Artists in the business and what an absolute privilege it is listen to them talk not only about how the make-ups were done, but the whole design, making and application process. From the early stages of design, performance collaboration right down to the day of application in this video of Duncan Jarman, Sian Grigg and Robert Pandini discuss their journey through the making of The Revenant from all Make-up, Hair and Prosthetics departments, a rare insight into what has to be one of my favourite films for Make-up, Hair and Prosthetics. The attention to detail even down to the horse blood in Leonardo’s beard truly is a testament to the team and is fascinating to hear about how the prosthetics were made, interestingly with a variation of cap plastics and not from silicone..from ProBondo. A truly inspiring watch, full of top Make-up Application tips and terrific make-up must haves!
