Okay so, lore behind We All Lie Amongst The Thorns and Survival Is A Team Sport. I have done proper wip summaries on my intro post here, but I'd be happy to go into more detail.
We All Lie Amongst The Thorns is a fairy tale retelling. The main character is my version of Sleeping Beauty. The story starts on her presentation ceremony (the day about a week after her birth when she is presented to the public) where a fairy from each discipline will bless her, except for the divination fairy, who will read her future. After the blessings are given the divination fairy has her vision and says that she will be cursed to fall into a deep sleep on her sixteenth birthday, and that this curse will bring about the kingdom's downfall. The king, terrified of losing his power, sends the newborn baby deep into the woods, far away from him. And thus the story begins.
Survival Is A Team Sport starts out on a beautiful sunny summer day, the main character Camryn's birthday. He and his friends are on the way to his house after school to celebrate when suddenly the sky goes dark and strange things start dropping from the sky. The kids' path home is blocked, so they take cover in a nearby garage. The sounds of chaos continue throughout the night, and when they finally peek out in the morning, everything has changed.
