❛ pardon me , ’ voice is soft , mousy -- she’s got her fists balled beneath the bundles of her sweater sleeves & she’s looking up at the other through butterfly lashes , fluttering nervously as she speaks . ❛ i don’t mean to interrupt --- i’m just . . . i’m just a little bit lost . somehow , ’ & there’s an airy chuckle of shame ( & even a hint of humiliation ) that tumbles from rose tinted lips --- ❛ i’ve taken the wrong turn somewhere & now -- well , ’ & either corner of her mouth upturns slightly , an inkling of a smile . ❛ can you help me ? ’

“ i don’t really like to be the bearer of additional frustrations on you , drake , but . . . uh , this -- ” bruce hands the artifact back to the man with a sigh . it was supposed to be an answer to an age old mystery of another missing tomb . almost an answer , as it seems . “ -- it’s fake . or well , the age is very much the same to what you are looking for but it ends there . the design and the material ? there are many inaccuracies and from the looks of it . . . this is just polished copper and silver made to look gold . my best guess is that it’s an imitation . a decoy , maybe . ”
