Context: Hello world and all who inhabit it! (◠‿◕). I know it's only been a day since my last post, but I literally finished this drawing yesterday (before the previous post), and today I made another doodle, so I couldn't wait! (≧▽≦).
But anyway, here's another cute drawing of my OC Pumkin and Branch! (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*.✧. This time they're both teenagers. I'd say Pumkin is around 14-16 years old and Branch is between 17-19 years old. Also, yes, I made Branch with facial hair. At first, I was going to leave him without it, but then I looked at it and didn't think he was old enough, so I gave him that beard and those light sideburns. I think it ended up making him look like the young man coming out of his teens, just like I wanted. Or at least I hope so. I also had some issues with the tears. I've never actually drawn tears before, so I'm sorry if it turned out bad. Same with the poses. Poses are hard. :/ But like I said before, I did my best.

So, I said in my previous post that Pumkin exists to help Branch with his issue of being the outcast of Pop Village after turning gray (*after Rosiepuff's death) and having virtually no one help him properly. There are several Headcannons that say he was taken in at a young age by various foster families, but the fact that he never regained his colors soon enough or was simply "too difficult" meant that no one felt they could raise him, which led our boy to go off on his own and make his Bunker.
Well, with Pumkin in the equation, Branch doesn't completely lose his colors (which I captured with his palette being closer to the one he has in Trolls 2 and 3), as he still has some family with him, not to mention Pumkin is a very supportive child. She loves her older brother very much and does her best to make him happy, although of course, not in the same way as the other Pop Trolls. She understand him, and while Branch wouldn't like to sing or dance by himself or listen to the villagers, he does like to hear Pumkin sing because she would know what to sing to make him feel better without upsetting him. She would also be careful with the volume, so Branch wouldn't worry too much about being too loud.
Although that's true: they would both end up being ostracized by the village eventually and end up making the Bunker anyway. Branch, because just because he likes listening to his little sister sing doesn't mean he can tolerate the behavior of the other Trolls, and Pumkin because...
Well, let's just say that just because she's not like him doesn't mean she can go along with the other Pop Trolls and let them reject her older brother. She still has Branch as her greatest influence and is especially protective of him, so she may have caused some trouble just to defend him.
And yes, unlike Branch, she's still got her colors intact since Rosiepuff died before Pumkin's first birthday. Meaning, Pumkin doesn't really remember her grandmother except for what Branch tells her sometimes (when guilt isn't consuming him 24/7).
The song she's singing to Branch is "Snowman" by Sia.
And yes, it's a Christmas song and it's also technically romantic, but again, I think with a few tweaks it could easily become a platonic love song. Like the change I made to the lyrics in the drawing. Originally, where it says "'Cause I'm your sister now," it said "Mrs. Snow," but I changed it so it wouldn't sound so weird. XD I also considered drawing it as if they're in the middle of winter and the holidays so the song would fit, but I was too lazy to find them both warm clothes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Anyway, I hope you like this post too! ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧. Once again, I know people don't care much about OCs, but I'm still going to keep posting my drawings and see what happens.
