Dreamkeeper
Older Collab with my friend Sibera She did the background traditionally.
This painting shows a mysterious Siderian (my a horse-sized big cats) character who came to her in a dream. He goes by the name Jack and what he know if him, is that he's some kind of dream-keeper of the Ancient Sætansen Dynasty.
See here the original post on DA with more information.
Only took me three months to finish Sibera, the next Felid in the series! She’s the creation and property of a former friend and roommate whom I’m no longer on speaking terms with, and I kept as true to her original design as possible. I also wanted to try a cel-shading look again, which is a bit easier now that I understand how the multiply layer and lasso tools work.
I ended up liking the Thundercats Roar pilot!
I brought back my old TC oc and made this little fan thing to practice my storyboards.

Siberia (2018)
Genre: Crime/Thriller/Drama
Who’s In It: Keanu Reeves, Ana Ularu, Pash D Lynchnikoff, Molly Ringwald
Who Directed It: Matthew Ross
Plot: When an American diamond trader's Russian partner goes missing, he journeys to Siberia in search of him, but instead begins a love affair.
Running Time: 1 Hour 44 Minutes
IMDB Score: 4.3
Rotten Tomatoes Score: Critics 11% Audience 19%
Why I Watched It: Honestly I don’t know, cause of John Wick?
How I Watched It: Amazon Prime Canada
Random Thoughts: Let’s deal with those Rotten Tomatoes numbers, in the film defense not a lot of critics or regular movie fans saw this film so it’s a small sample size but that sample size did not care for it.
Look at that poster and the title would you have any clue what this film is about. The trailer makes it look like a thriller but now look at the plot summary, a diamond trader (legal? criminal?) looks for his partner but has sex instead, that’s what the film is really about and he’s married so seems more indie drama than crime thriller.
What I Like: You have to love Keanu Reeves and at this moment it seems everyone does love him cause most of his fans are ignoring or pretending this film doesn’t exist. Reeves is fin here and it’s funny seeing him married to Molly Ringwald. The film is shot well and Serbia looks very cold. That’s it that’s all I got. So sorry Keanu.
What I Didn’t Like: This film is boring with a capital B and to make it worse he wants to be very serious and deep and it’s not, honestly I almost turned the film off in boredom.
The film falls into that not fish or fowl category, it’s not a thrilling crime story and the romance is not only not believable but it’s shoehorned into this other story. We don’t know these two people, honestly pretty much nothing, no one says anything meaningful. It seems Reeves character is married but travels a lot and well he’s in Siberia and meets an attractive women and everything goes to pot. The film doesn’t make on many levels, the crime stuff is boring, the bad guy is basically a cartoon character and the two love interests have no chemistry at all and we have no idea why they’re attracted to each other.
It’s clear the film wants to go to darker places, but it feels wrong and forced, they have sex and she makes him call her his wife’s name, ok, there’s a disturbing scene why the bad guy makes Reeves character make Ularu give him a blow job while Reeves gets one from the bad guy’s “women” while they both watch each other, and what does that mean and where does that go, nowhere and again you want to make a sexual thriller or drama than do it don’t hid it in a boring crime story about diamonds.
Now the other weak part is Ana Ularu, now she’s not bad but she brings very little here, Reeves can coast on being Reeves cause he’s good at it but Ularu seems lost. Now I could say she didn’t have much to work with as her character is really under written but I could also say she doesn’t bring anything out either, she just doesn’t give an interesting or even nuance performance.
The ending bothered me cause I didn’t care and it wasn’t earned. That’s all I’ll say except for the fact it gets very melodramatic.
Final Thoughts: Bottom line a badly written and thought out mismash of a film.
Rating: 3/10
