Today I tried to go on a double date, my date flaked out, then her replacement flaked too, after many phone calls I ended up taking my sister. It was ok.

i love dallas so much. as soon as i move up north, i'm changing my hometown to plano. truth to be told, kitchener is nothing more than my birthplace - plano and its people and its places and its experiences are what made me who i am. i may not be half as savvy as new england prep schoolers, but i know that i am every bit as prepared for life as they are. being at the top of the reunion tower tonight made me realize how proud i am of where i come from. sitting in the "icon" of the dallas skyline was the experience of a lifetime - as we spun around, i got to see the entire city, and i don't think i've ever realized until that moment how much this city means to me.
560 was fantastic. i've always loved wolfgang puck, though unfortunately i haven't been to many of his restaurants (the only other one i've had a chance to hit up was spago in las vegas). spago was italian whereas 560 has an asian twist on it. my brother and i are pigs and ordered far more than we could handle, but i'm glad that we did because i got to try more things. also, i think i finished my dessert at record speed. howard was like, "kelly, i don't think i've ever seen you eat so much food so fast."
speaking of my brother, i love him a lot. when we were younger, we always fought a lot, but i think now that we've grown up some, we're really compatible. frankly, i don't know of any siblings who go to great lengths the way my brother does for me, but i think that they're just doing their jobs wrong/failures at life. :)

crumbly apple pie + butterscotch + vanilla bean ice cream. he brought the crumbly apple pie in the frying pan for me, so it was really, really, really hot and perfect with the ice cream.
and the siiiiiibs. :) you can't really see my homeless outfit very well. :(
