Lmao I'm at a science conference and when speakers are in their last 2 minutes the Chair (the person overseeing the session) stands up to let the speaker know they're running out of time.
At 30 seconds they pull out the lightsaber.

Tonight:
Me, my labmates, and my new friend all bought beer and the girliest Bellini Trader Joe's can provide.
We bought bread, jam, and brie.
We sat in the hotel room watching Planet Earth II, talking about our science lives, and occasionally laughing at the shit animals do.

SICB DCB and DVM Southwest Regional meeting at UCR today. Heard some wonderful talks (excited that Dr. Clark is coming to CSUSB to talk about hummingbird aeroacoustics in November!), had free lunch (Thai food!) and dinner (hotdogs at DDogs!), and spent time with some wonderful people.
SICB, PNAS... all these acronyms i find way too hilarious
