After a solo mission on Felucia, Fives gets a pretty bad cold... or maybe the flu? This would be fine, except that clones aren't supposed to be able to get sick. Rather than risk his ARC trooper status, he decides to tough it out, which goes about as well as he could expect. Featuring a disabled Hardcase, who lived through Umbara but now has to juggle chronic pain and a Z-6.
I wrote a thing! It's been a little bit since I've written anything, but I finally decided to post a fanfic that's been hiding out in my notes for the last year or so.
Originally, this was just a bunch of disjointed plot bulletpoints for an entirely different character, but I changed it up some and made it my own.
When I first got into fanfics, my favorites were usually the low-stakes hurt/comfort ones, for example, random characters getting a cold. It was always fun because Character A could win every fight, but give them a cold and they're actively dying, and Character B is torn between being actually concerned and really just wanting to smack them. Honestly, it's an interesting character dynamic, and I like being able to imagine what certain characters would be like in these scenarios. The last time I wrote an entire fic like this, I think I was back in high school, so it was kinda fun to write and see how I'd improved since then. Enjoy!
