Another mouse update: it's 2:15ish and I went in at 2 am to check on him. He hasn't drank anything yet but was enjoying the wet tissue around it (i made the water bowl bigger/easier to access) he's walking around, lifting his head and smelling his area, EATING AND WASHING HIMSELF!!!!! When i scooped him up earlier there was dirt and hairs and lint all over his body, I picked a lot of it off and now he's cleaning himself 🥺
Mouse update: he made it the night and before I left for work today bean and I transferred him from the box he was in into a makeshift cage. We dont want to put money towards a cage ext until we're sure he's gonna make it. He was eating and moving around, although it was mostly in circles today :/. He's completely cleaned himself off though, and is using his little hands to pick up pieces of the cat food to eat them. It's still very touchy, but he's more active today than yesterday so hopes are there that he'll make it.
My liquor store manager called me as she was leaving and told me to go down to the plaza underground carkpark because there was "something I needed to see". I get there and see a mouse on the ground, and quickly after going closer my manager and I realized he's sick, or was attacked by a bigger animal (part of his face is kinda fucked up). I brought him out of the carpark to outside my liquor store. Apparently fish based cat food is good for them so I went next door (convince store) and bought him salmon based food. He started eating almost immediately. I proceeded to put him in a flat and bring him inside the store. Now he's in a small box on his way home with me to hopefully recover.
And that's the story of how I became a mouse mom.
Pic: (second is of him eating bc I was worried sick he wouldn't eat and legit cried when he did)
Here is a video of the sick mouse when he was in his little holding cage. To me he sounds pretty bad. This is the video I sent her.
hopefully they can find out what's causing all of this.
went to the hospital today and found out i have the flu AND am having a reaction to a new medication i was put on. also,, the hospital did nothing. they literally sent me home to die lmao
mice people, i need your help
miceblr, mouseblr, whatever it’s called, I’m having some trouble working out what is wrong.
The mice at the store I work at are coming down with some illness that is causing them to die off within a couple days of symptoms starting. If anyone thinks they might be able to tell me what is going on and if there’s anything I can do about it I am including videos and further details under the break.
