“TELL YOUR CHILDREN THE TRUTH”
This world is twisted and we need to prepare our children for it before they fall victim to it. As heart-breaking as it is, we have to teach our kids about the disgusting realities of this world they were born into, what/who to avoid, and how to protect themselves in a crisis.
It’s so scary and so sad. Mine are all teens now, and they know the basics, but I still don’t want them to know much further. I’m teaching them self defense, but I don’t want them to know what for - like what all could possibly happen to them - I know they’re my big girls now, but when I look at them I still see babies, and I don’t want to corrupt their young minds. But if I don’t make them aware now, the sickos out there will later. It’s so unfair to them. They deserve better.
The other day I was explaining to my 14 y/o exactly how to use her self defense weapon in cases of the big M or R (I hate that I had to lead her mind down that dark alley), and she innocently asked me, “how do you know all this?” I told her, “because mommy’s been through some stuff and I don’t want those same things happening to you.” She PINKY PROMISED me (🥺😭) that she’d follow my instructions if she’s ever faced with those situations. The contrast between her innocence and the violence and sickness of this world, just makes my stomach churn. God, please protect my precious babies, in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Amen. 🙏
