The Democrats tried to warn people about the awful things Cheeto Man was going to do. They fought tooth and nail during his first term to stop all the horrible shit he was trying to pass. Despite all of that, despite him being a convicted felon, despite his party always being about greed/racism/bigotry/and misogyny he was still voted in.
No one should be whining about the Dems doing nothing when they literally tried to warn you all about what was coming.
You voted the Dems out of every branch of power in the country. The last bastions against complete destruction of our rights are in the hands of state governors, state Attorney Generals, and us harassing our local representatives into doing their jobs.
Anyone with a spine that tries to stand against him in the federal offices has already and will continue to be fired.
He did this same thing during his first term but most of the country chose to forget or just didn't give enough of a shit to use their vote and stop him.
We didn't vote the Dems back into a position of power so why tf would you think they're going to come and save any of us?
Every single person that voted for him, against Kamala or chose not to vote at all is to blame for this shit show.
You can either own up to the mistake and do your part in helping fix things or you can keep wallowing in this little victim pity party you got going and throw blame at the Dems for a mess you created.
Either way, I have no more sympathy for you.
part of the reason i hate the toothpaste flag so much is bc i was a part of the lesbian community in the 2010s during that transition period where we were stopping use of the lipstick lesbian flag which was made by a racist transphobe, but we hadn’t yet adopted use of emily gwen’s flag, and it was SO hard for people to come to a consensus on what would be a good lesbian flag, there were dozens of designs that people were using, i specifically remember having one with like, a purple, yellow, pink and green stripe in my pfp for a bit, until finally gwen’s flag became the definitive lesbian flag (donate to gwen by the way) and even then gwen received accusations of being aphobic (they aren’t) or being transphobic/transmisogynistic (they aren’t) and the fact that they still have to frequently beg for donations because they live in poverty while massive corporations profit off her design, it’s just such a sad situation for gwen
and then some misogynistic prick saw her flag, thought “i am uncomfortable when we are not about me???” and ripped off her design but made it blue because pink is for girls and blue is for boys and unlike the amount of time and discussion that came from the lesbian community trying to decide what lesbian flag design to adopt, young gay men immediately latched onto this new flag like “oh thank goodness finally a flag to represent us because gay men have never had a flag to represent them before”
