Itchy replies. Still non-sims, sorry. :)
Now that I’ve had, like, 12 hours of sleep (Yay, antihistamines)...For @elfpuddle, @holleyberry, @fuzzyspork, and @siddup...

It sounds like something unusual got int that bottle, as if that batch were contaminated rather than being allergic to the shampoo itself. I'm so sorry!!!!
Yeah, it really sucked. :) But I don’t think the bottle could have been contaminated. It’s one I’ve been using for a couple months now, and it lives closed in the shower. It’s possible that it is (Or *I* am) reacting differently to something out here (as opposed to at home), but I last washed my hair on Friday, and it was fine then, so...I dunno. Anyway, when this is completely cleared up, I’m going to do a little patch test to confirm it was the shampoo and if so...Well, I’ll have to find a new shampoo. :)

Coconut Oil
Mmmmm....coconut oil.... What? :)
Yeah, I’m in love with the stuff. Cooking with it and putting it on my hair and...Yeah, all good. I don’t really like putting it directly on my skin, though. But, Ethan picked up some hippie organic coconut oil lotion at Walgreen’s along with the Benedryl and some hippie organic lavender shampoo, so I’ll be putting some of that lotion on after my bath, yes indeed. :)

Is the water quality different from where you usually wash your hair? Hard water will cause some people to break out from soap if they are typically used to soft water (free of calcium). Mostly because the soap doesn't rinse away completely. It actually gets trapped into your pores by the calcium in the water. :P
I thought about that, actually. There’s a water softener at both houses (because I hate hard water and not just because of pipe build-up), but I thought that maybe the one here wasn’t working even though it’s brand-new, was the first thing we bought/installed when we bought the house at the end of March. But...Nope, it’s working, so...not that.
And then in the end, before the Benedryl kicked in, I had swelling around my eyes, so I’m pretty sure it was an allergic reaction, and the only thing I can think it would be was the shampoo, since I wasn’t itching everywhere, as I would if it had been the soap. It was concentrated where the shampoo suds were thickest, scalp and (because I have really long hair) down the middle of my back. And my hands.

Try peppermint oil, so soothing! Then again if there's no Benadryl dunno why you'd have peppermint oil at the ready.....
That does sound wonderful, but no, I don’t have any here. :) It’s a new-for-us house, and we’ll likely never be living here full-time, so it’s not fully-stocked with all the creature comforts. BUT! I am going to prepare and take an oatmeal bath, because I’ve still got some residual itching. Then some of that coconut oil lotion, and then hopefully that will be the end of it.
