STORY RECOMENDATION TIME! (again)

This was the first Sims 2 story I stumbled across on tumblr.

This was the story that opened my eyes to TS2 stories on here.

This made me keep looking out for amazing stories I've found since.

I love this story so darn much!

It starts off in the present day with Don Lothario happily married to Cassandra Goth with children of their own. Life appears perfect for them but then Cass goes to the park and discovers another familiar looking child in with a woman she knows was linked to her husband.

Then it goes back to how Don was in college and the story follows Don from there. I would say Don is easily the main character in this series.

It made me look at Don's character differently. The actual TS2 makes Don look like a woohoo-machine and like he acted like he didn't care who he was hurting. This Don is different and I think he is the Don I admire the most. It shows the realistic side that Don was meeting girls, dating them and being atypical decent guy.

It shows how he's known Nina and Dina for years, and shows a time when Dina got married to Michael. It shows the almost toxic relationship between Cassandra and her mother, the beautifully famous Bella Goth. Cassandra is shown as painfully shy and unsure of herself. Nina is a typical romance sim who loves woohoo but isn't into marriage and long-term relationships. Dina is shown as a family sim, caring about Alexander and NOT the gold-digger she is set out in the game to be.

This is mostly set before the actual TS2 starts and I LOVE the backstory and buildup because it shows Don working hard in his career, his frustration at being moved to Pleasantview for his job and his wingman Goopy GilsCarbo.

It hilarious at times, it's emotional and it's STUNNING.

It inspired me to write my own version because I related to this one so much.

EDIT: I should admit here that I kinda copied how Don's condo looks in my story to how his Pleasantview condo in this story looks! I'm sorry I preferred it that way!

Saffy’s school uniform actually consists of a white shirt that has to be ironed so I imagine she had to learn from her early teens to iron it herself...I cannot imagine her stepmother Mireille nor Anita doing it for her!

Sassy Saffy <3 I love these little notes to himself where he realizes what he had and what he lost and most importantly, that there's not just  one right way to love... This part gave me the feels.

Thank you so much, Ana! I feel it’s important to show that the breakup of his marriage is actually helping Roy achieve some personal growth...and that he’s not unaware that he did take Sonia for granted a lot of the time.

I'm so very rarely guessing what are you up to, Pru, because your story is masterfully unpredictable. That's why every time I'm guessing right I feel tremendous gratification. I've also noticed it happens the most when it comes to Saff which can only mean I still have the mentality of a teenager. Which is lame and shameful actually...

I think you guess right 99% of the time! I am intrigued to know if you have guessed right this time too. All I will tell you is that it is something to do with their night out at The Grind...:P

She looks nothing like her teen self though! I have no idea how that happened. I’ve never had a YA who looked so unlike her teen self. I tweaked nothing but her hair, either. It’s a complete mystery.

Not a charitable thought at all, but I'd like to see Saffy fall flat on her face :P I perceive her as someone who has a lot but still cries for the moon, who would chase excitement and to hell with the consequences just to alleviate boredom. BUT I could be totally wrong, so as always, I look forward to her story <3

I would say "facial hair." Most 19-year-olds aren't too good at growing facial hair yet. Sure, some are, it's all a matter of hormone levels, but a lot of them just grow patchy fuzz at that age. Or they can do a mustache, but not a lot of beard/stubble. My son just turned 25 in December, and it's only now that he has to shave every day if he wants to be clean-shaven. But just in general, it's hard to convey specific ages in this game without having a ton of CAS CC.

....He still looks too old without the facial hair.

As long as I know what poses I want to do, if not it can take up to two hours for massive group shots.  I have my cheat sheets with pictures of all the poses I have but sometimes I have to combine a bunch of poses to make the look I want.  For The Gang it is easier since I know all their personalities quite well.

Thank you! She didn’t have that much money, so I chose the smallest house I’ve ever built XD Also, I don’t know why it’s green, but I like green, so it’s okay :D
