“I don’t call myself ShadowbeatzInc, fucking loser”
(Sidebeatz) Bathtub
"Yeah....okay," breathed out a very stressed sounding voice, vocals vibrating ever so roughly in his throat as he swept his hair back and set his baseball cap back on. Shadow never really was one for relationships, honestly it was exhausting considering his situation. Sure he loved Sidearms, hell, he'd die for the boy but sometimes he was a little much for Shadow. Problem wise, you'd think someone as happy as that would basically live in their own world and live off the sunshine that engulfs their everyday lives unlike most people. Being it Sidearms, you'd think he was some dumb teenager that could easily be persuaded with candy and maybe some alcohol like most but that wasn't his problem at all, no. In fact Sidearms was very smart and knew all the things that were going around him, being it a secret that only very special ears could hear or a new person that could be moving in a block away. He knew it all, he wasn't dumb and happy like everyone thought. He wore the same black mask everyday and the only one who could see through it was Shadow. It surprised Shadow at first, he had his suspicions but was horrified when he had found that they were, indeed, correct. In fact Shadow has seen more than a broken boy hiding behind a glass wall, he'd seen scars that dug and dug until even Shadow could see the regret that lined Side's arms, legs and even stomach. Sidearms had been hiding these scars ever since he'd met The Crew, at first it was only a quick swipe then a little burn and it was all over. When he grew comfortable around the guys he actually thought he could be free, that he could stop. He felt like he mattered for once in his life. That was, until they started to tease him with more and more painful insults that had burned their way into Side's mind. That was when it started again, that was when an even thicker wall was put up and a black mask for safety measures. New scars had been made, over and over until one arm was full. Side would count his mistakes he made during the day at school and every single one he counted, a new marking was made. In his mind, he was only to blame. Insecure and wishing to never be born, Side one day tripped and smashed into the glass wall, cracking it. Shadow had seen it all, such had raised his suspicions even more. Side knew someone would've seen it, not expecting it to be Shadow out of all people. Shadow had broken Side down during those past weeks, he'd asked every little question, wondered every little answer further and studied Sidearms as if he were the only thing that kept him alive. During those random Skype calls from Shadow and soft sobs from Side, they had grown a liking towards each other and had ended up in their new found relationship. Caring, loving and happy? Nope. Caring? Yeah, sure. Loving? Okay, acceptable. Happy? Not even the slightest. Sure Sidearms smiled a little more now, stopped bleeding from day to day and even giggled quite a bit more but it really didn't make anything better since they never actually saw each other in person. Shadow found that it might have been better if he hadn't kept Side alone by himself. Shadow knew it all and had decided that it was best to move in with Side, to help him recover and feel safe. So Shadow moved. Being a few states away from Side, he still managed to pack everything he owned up, set it in a moving truck and drive all the way to Sidearms who was puzzled at the new information but found that since he literally packed his house up and drove for a straight week just to see his younger boyfriend, it wasn't all that bad to have someone he loves live with him in his small apartment. It took many trips to the hospital, a few therapists and many sleepless nights to get Side to stop cutting, Shadow even hiding all the sharp objects in the house, pills and everything else harmful in their living space. Shadow concerned to the point of bending every out of the wall nail that huge freely for use. Sidearms was broken to the point where even his eyes were a dull shade of grey. Shadow knew it was for the best but he never expected to get all caught up in caring for someone, let alone that person being Sidearms out of all. Side had healed, his eyes a little more bright as days moved on, even letting Shadow touch the painful memories of past years on his body. Shadow seemingly satisfied with the outcome continue to support Sidearms through his depression. Loving how he could finally witness his boyfriend smile in what felt like years. He listened as he giggled a little more everyday and how life seemed to be pushed aside as long as Shadow was there. Though Sidearms did still frustrate Shadow.... So now they stand here.... Sidearms staring up at Shadow as Shadow looked the other way, arms crossed and a glare planted on his face. Sidearms nodded smoothly and turned away, his (purple left eye and blue right eye) eyes now staring at the bedroom they shared. Side smiled gently. 'It's led to this I see' Side thought sadly and moved towards the bathroom, his skinny frame making his height seem smaller than he actually was. "I'm taking a bath," Sidearms mumbled, loud enough for only Shadow to hear. Shadow let out an annoyed sigh and mumbled something under his breath before walking away, the creaking wooden floor heavenly for Sidearms. Side looked down sadly at the floor before entering the bathroom. Sidearms closed the door behind him, not even bothering to lock it, and walked towards the bathtub that sat in a corner of the bathroom. Not even caring to change out of his white dress shirt and black shorts, he started to water. Warmth spilling on his cold hands, water flooding the bathtub. No, today is gonna be it. Sidearms turned the hot water tab off and let cold water fill the tub. After filling it a few places before the edge, Side stopped the water and climbed in. Letting out a small sigh, he crossed his arms over his chest and laid back, his last breath filled his lungs as the water engulfed his body. The cold water slowly numbing his body and airs bubbles popping as he let go of all that he had, letting the water flood him. Sounds now muffled, water filling his lungs and eyes blurred. His mouth now hung open letting the last of the air bubbles free, water now the only thing he knew. It was only a few minutes into trying to create a new song (in which he hadn't in the last few months he'd been taking care of Sidearms) when he felt as if something was wrong. Sure he shouldn't be worried about everything that Side does but a pinch in his stomach made him wonder. He instantly shot up from his chair and bolted up stairs towards the bathroom which was the farthest door down. He rushed down the hall, waiting a few seconds and knocked. " You okay, Albi?" Shadow asked, the knot in his stomach never leaving. He knocked a little harder this time. Nothing still. 'Maybe silent treatment? ' Shadow thought, though shook it off and turned the doorknob slightly. Surprised to see it unlocked, he gently pushed the door open and stared in horror at the sight of his lover. Shadow rushed over towards the bathtub and basically threw Side out onto the ground, skin freezing and even a little blue. "Sidearms!?" Shadow yelled and pumped Sides stomach, the pool of water around them growing as cold water leaked off his drenched clothes. "SIDEARMS!!" Shadow screamed louder as he pumped and pumped. Sure, water did escape his mouth, in fact lots of water had but he hadn't started breathing yet. Shadow continuing to shake Side more and more as if he had a chance of waking his lover up.
