Very neat deformed horse coffin (hoof) bone I got recently. Those high, flared protrusions are called sidebones and are most commonly seen in the front hooves of older working horses and draft breeds. Surprisingly, in most cases, horses who develop sidebones rarely become lame from it! 

The normal coffin bone is from the same animal.
